I am afraid today proves global warming exists. The BoM has had to introduce two new colors to represent heat severity.
We're at mum and dads, they have air conditioning, and our baby would be too hot without it.

"they have air conditioning, and our baby would be too hot without it."
What a load of crap. Thousands of people raise babies without it. Who is enjoying the air conditioning?

We're at mum and dads, they have air conditioning, and our baby would be too hot without it. So, how do you reckon you would have coped if you lived in Mildura in the 60's when there were no air conditioners ? Back then people still had babies, and their babies coped, 48 degree heat, pre-fab housing, zero air-con., and all

I recall having to suffer 40+ degree days in my childhood. No air con then either. Climate change is occuring for sure.....we've going back to very hot weather again.

Trouble is we are trying to fit weather patterns to suit our own short life times, this stuff has been going on for millions of years but the way people carry on you'd think that weather only came about in 1879. If only the abbos kept weather records, they could have shown the white global warming hysterics up for the fretting dickheads they really are.

I said 60's like, err the 1960's. Then I said 48 degrees. Fair dinkum, you're a drop kick.

The coons did not keep exact records, but they do know what the temps were.

<sigh> Ok, just for those who are slow on the uptake. AGW is not about whether its a heat-wave today, and an even hotter wave tomorrow. AGW is about changes in the Climate. Yes, AGW is happening, we can see this with the amount of extreme weather events that we are experiencing. Floods last summer, extreme heat waves this summer; Super Storms in the Continental United States.... These are all evidence of AGW, only complete morons would attempt to deny that reality.

Same as the Murray river, that has become yet another political football, the Murray of today has never been wetter thanks to mans intervention with locks and stuff yet if you listen to the hysterical amongst us its in some sort of crises, there is no Murray crises, the real crises is people hijacking the Murray river for political purposes.

Theres been a few hot days here and there but by and large its been cooler over all, well cooler to a normal person anyway, if you are part of the doomsday Apocalypse climate change end of the world without further labor taxes club then we are currently experiencing once in a billion year high temperatures LOL ;D

Babies can suffer heat stress, no matter that it can and does get to the 40s, does not mean its good for them. Just like "back in my day...." just because people in the '60s or prehistoric times didn't have airconditioners, doesn't mean we shouldn't embrace it now. Years ago we had no antibiotics or hot water, and babies still survived. Yet that doesn't mean we shouldn't utilise it TODAY. That "how would you have coped"/"eerrrrr back i-in my day" attempt at putdowns is really irrelevant. In 2013 we really should do everything we can including fleeing to where the airconditioning is to keep an infant cool. Just as we should give that baby antibiotics when they are sick and wash them in warm water, in a bath, rather than cold water in an old copper pot. I don't give a F--- how people coped in the 1960s, OR the 1860s. Its all irrelevant. This is 2013.

The fact that climate scientist have for decades been warning of a warming planet due to increase in atmospheric CO2 and CH4 gases, and land clearing that will create extreme weather events to occur as the evidence is blatantly obvious to all but the dimmest of skeptics, yet people still think its preferable to bury their heads in the sand and claim its just all a natural cycle....yet when asked what is the driver for the natural cycle, given that with all climate change events there is something that drives a change they cannot say, or derive some bullshit about aboriginals kept records about climate as Garfield has done...So once again for about the hundredth time, if it is a natural climate warming event as claimed then what is driving the change..??....C'mon answer that...what is driving the most apparent warming planet..if not CO2 and CH4 in the atmosphere.. ...a meteorite perhaps, earth wobbles, sun spots ...just what is it then...?? Now watch these au naturals fall silent failing to answer a simple question...and when the topic comes up again it will be...Ooooo its all natural because its happened in the past, forgeting or ignoring the fact that in the past something drove those changes.

What rot Salem. You cannot compare airconditioners to antibiotics. There are plenty of ways to keep babies cool without running to a house that has airconditioning. What would they have done if mum & dad weren't handy? Go and sit in a shopping centre? I think it made us better prepared for life by going through a few hardships. Sorry, but a lot of todays youth need to toughen up.
