No one was taking share portfolios...people who claim franking credits falsely claim to be low income earners to claim the gift bonus of the franking credits even when paying no tax just so they don't have to draw down of their shares, indeed exponentially grow their share portfoli even if after getting a dividend...enough of the I'm poor bullshit..franking credits are robbing from the poor low income earners...the ones helping to balance the budget into the black with the Robo debt letters....targeting the disadvantage and vulnerable who don't understand the system.
Such is the situation companies that are not avoiding tax (read as fraud)pay their due tax to the tax dept and all that tax collected is going out to pay franking credits alone...in effect no tax collected amounts to zilch.
Labor had the big idea policies to keep the economy going, ScoMo polices are all do nothing, indeed he won power on a do nothing basis, and your calling Labor nongs when they are not in power, its all Labor Labor Labor from you NoMo Wilson.
The LNP drought polices draw down on Labors future fund that was intended infrastructure projects, and their dam building exercise for drought protection is a recipe for environmental disaster on water courses...and if they follow environmental laws on rivers there has to be environmental flows released...so in effect the dams will do nothing...but the agenda is not to release environmental flows eventually killing the rivers just like they did to the Darling...and for you again Labor are the nongs....nongs are those that swallowed the very costly well paid for LNP fear campaign....and your merely espousing Wilson fear campaign....no consideration for anything else but LNP bullshit banana bending wankerism.
Democracy means a fair go for all, democracy also means action on climate change.

From The Saturday Paper October 26 2019 www.thesaturdaypaper.com.au/opinion/topic/2019/10/26/the-shadowy-corridors-power/15720084008978Is this what Trickles, with his usual hyperbole and hopeless imitative bandwagon hopping lack of originality calls a “civil war engulfing the Labor Party”? Strewth life must be a shit sandwich when you’re a franking credits drooling ScoMo Liberal luvvie like Trickles and even ScoMo disagrees with you Now there’s a reality check! But will this government listen when its leitmotif, and from ScoMo himself no less, is “How good is that!” But wait! There’s more! All is not well in the Coalition. The Nationals are gunning for an uppity woman and they’re feeling a bit crowded by a pushy ScoMo on what they reckon should be their own turf:

A rogue union pissed off at the Labor Party for having expelled from its ranks a boofy misogynistic state secretary of that union, and Trickles calls this a "civil war". This is the union whose members cheered John Howard over the old growth forests logging issue in Tasmania and whose position on Adani would make Trickles beam with approval as he lovingly fingers his franking credits. Unlike corporate mates like Big Tobacco whose donations the Liberals and Nationals are happy to accept, Labor accepts the challenge and the price of acting on principle.

And when the LNP bring in Robo Debt for pensioners NoMo Wislosn will be pleased to know all that debt collected from old folk will help pay his franking credits, while pronouncing what nongs Labor are.

Trickles cackles to himself: I love Leunig. I'm a big fan. He's an anti vaxxer and you should see the way he dishes up the vitriol to selfish working mothers who dump their kids with strangers. Just my type! So cool ...

Flying ducks on the wall? Floral carpet? Never shopped at Nock & Kirby's or saw their ads with Joe the Gadget Man? Bring your money with you? Nope? Totally outside your cultural heritage? Damned unpatriotic I say!

The article by Nick Dyrenfurth works on a nuanced view Labor was/is all working class...and that just isn't so, Labor bridges all classes and holds the more intellectual lateral thinking punter.
But as we know the nation has been dumbed down under LNP governments and that reflects on the last election that was won by advertising and fear mongering press rather than considering the policies.
The RW will focus on Labor as a diversion as things unravel for the LNP Labor has time to get its shit together...and that has em worried.

Am I wrong? You voted for a government headed by a man who covers for this Houston creep. A God Inc spiv named by a Royal Commission for covering for his kiddy fiddling dad in effect to have allegedly obstructed a police investigation. Even the Trump white house couldn't wear this guy when ScoMo wanted him invited to the knees up in his honour as Australian PM. Am I wrong to point this out?

Business and its share holders are demanding more action on climate change and are rejecting the dinosaurs in the business council and mining council refusing to act on climate change that are ruling over the LNP.
People are protesting in the streets on going over politicians not acting on slowing emissions....the LNP is beholding to sundown industries and that will prove to be there downfall next election.

Ponto here's the bottom line: 1. Who's in government? 2. Who's in opposition? 3. Who should have policies, and a plan, to address not just climate change but related issues of immediate concern such as the worst drought in recorded Australian history? 4. Do you really think this guy gives a flying fuck about the minutiae of bubble party politics in Canberra as he stands on the dry bed of the Darling River? 5. And what about these people? www.theguardian.com/australia-news/audio/2019/oct/26/what-do-farmers-think-of-the-coalitions-drought-policy-australian-politics-live-podcast Do they really wonder about whether or not the Labor Party is "engulfed" by a "civil war"? This thread is just another attempt by Trickles at a diversion in which he pretends that the real issue that consumes Australia at the moment is the state of the Labor Party. In Trickles place he should be more worried about the state of the shambolic Morrison government less than six months after an election which they expected to lose but, to their surprise and also to their shock, they won - narrowly. There's shit happening in Australia and the wider world, on climate change, on world geopolitics and on both the global as well as the domestic economy, that should make Trickles worried for his franking credits.

I glanced at his drivel. I told you that this was Trickles trying on a distraction to make out it's about the Labor Party. He thinks Albo has embraced trickle down economics.
Go figure ...

The Libs have a projected surplus and its not a budget surplus its a trade surplus with China.....still in debt up to the eyeballs....in short polliewaffle.
Labor has to get better with its policies... the we love coal and will take action on climate change isn't going to cut it....and lets face Labor has dropped the ball on climate action and lost its bottle on this subject after Rudd...as if some power is influencing the major parties...toe the line or we'll get you.
And Pauline is picking up Labor voters...she is saying I am Australian and proud of it, and the migrant demographic like that...they don't like the I am Australian and not proud of it espoused by the noisy left and Greens, and then place a minority group on a pedestal who want to make their own laws and keep to their own culture...no more nativity scenes, no more Christmas celebrations, it will offend Muslims they say...and the Muslim people haven't called for such actions (Clover Moore).....a wake up call there.
