Derivative, isn’t he. He always looks for a bandwagon to hop onto. He has to channel other members. When I used the nic Darjeeling he called himself Earl Grey. He’ll take phrases and expressions invented by someone else and try to make them his signature expression. Without attribution of course. Now he takes a thread title that I’ve used in the past to refer to the civil war engulfing the Liberal Party - which is still engulfing the Liberal Party over fundamental differences of ideology and policy - and adapts it to set up a phony “Labor! Labor! Labor!” distraction. Personally I don’t know what’s going on in the WA Branch. The news broke today so I’m keeping a watch and learn brief. On the face of it it looks like an unseemly factional brawl. A civil war? A la Rudd/Gillard? Or if you want a real civil war over ideology and policy that becomes a battle for the soul of the party try the Split of the 1950s. Whatever’s going on over there I won’t be using Trickles as an informational filter.

Is there any political party that doesn't have a degree of infighting...??
Unions have their place within Labor and the Labour force itself....what Labor must avoid is beholding to the Party RW who are anti socialist, anti Fabian.
Consider vastly more important the faction that the LNP are ideological at...the beholding to anti climate change deniers faction protecting the status quo....and you voted for them Freaking Credits....now folks wait for the angry Trumpesque twit tweet.

And yet again we have a slew of posts that appear on my screen as "This post is hidden. Display Post". Doubtless it's all about one-upmanship and who gets the last word. And with 22,751 posts of sheer drivel, Blind Freddy can see that Trickles absolutely must have the last word. Whatever!! So here's the thing. Actually a few things: 1. the ALP is in Opposition, the LNP are in government. 2. If the ALP is having a factional shitfight in the West, and while that State's Labor government could do without shitfights at its State conference, I fail to see how this could hurt federal Labor. All parties have shitfights. No I'll strengthen that statement: all parties need shitfights from time to time, and Opposition is when you do your shitfights. I still don't know what the WA stoush is about but from where I sit here in SA it seems to be about which faction gets what in the carve-up of spots in the Conference. Riveting for the tiny numbers involved, coma-inducing for the rest of us. So the Right does a dummy spit and stages a walk out during the official Welcome to Country. What a great look. Thanks for nothing, boofheads. 3. The WA stoush doesn't appear at this stage to be about ideology or policy. Just some self-serving dickheads whose own sense of entitlement is stronger than the need to defeat the LNP, get Labor elected and, once elected, to stay elected! I hope they get sin binned. 4. By contrast the Coalition is hopeless divided on just how the nation is going to generate the power it needs to keep the lights on and the fridges refrigerating. The last election had them just fall over the line and it resolved nothing as regards their internals. They're clueless on energy, they're hopelessly divided on the health of the planet, they're riddled with racism when it comes to Australia's First People and they're as committed as ever to their blinkered "public squalor to fund private affluence" which leads to the beancounter's mentality which tells them the cost of everything and the value of nothing.

Any old bandwagon will do. Take an expression or “bon mot” invented by someone else, leap on it and appropriate it. I agree that it was funny in a devastating way when Occam said it. But here’s an important difference between Occam and you Trickles: Occam is capable of making devastating cutting rejoinders that are original and he only needs to use it once. You on the other hand, when you grab hold of it, proceed to shit all over it and destroy its value as a devastatingly cutting rejoinder by flogging it to death. What a parasite.

Yes the Labor party needs to reform its political donations process, then as all political parties need to be open about donations, they are all the same.
Also the other corruption needs to be addressed, Joyces water corruption involving millions which makes Labors donations paltry by comparison, the media laws hammering freedom of information, the criminal in activity that has action on climate change closeted to make way for greed that even yourself NoMo has been caught up in and now all political parties are going down with free market ideology ...greed now before the future.
Its all disgusting and appalling stuff.

You haven't earned franking credits is a tax dept gift that is a rort NoMo Wilson...keep focusing on Labor and praise to the LNP.
' The Morrison Government’s plan to extend the liquid assets test waiting period for Newstart to up to six months is both cruel and reckless. The cuts – listed for debate this week – will particularly impact Australians in their 50s and 60s, who have spent their entire working lives in the same industry, who are made redundant. Currently, people claiming Newstart, Sickness Allowance, Youth Allowance and Austudy must wait up to 13 weeks to access the payments. The Government wants to extend the maximum Liquid Assets Waiting Period from 13 weeks to 26 weeks. Middle-aged and older Australians experience particular difficulty re-entering the workforce, due to structural barriers and age discrimination. These changes will force them to eat into their savings, draw down their assets and drive them into poverty before they can access support. Australians aged over 55 represent one in four Newstart recipients, the largest cohort on the payment. The number of over-55s on Newstart has surged by 45 per cent under the Liberals and Nationals. At a time when Australians are doing it tough – when the economy is weak and getting weaker – the Morrison Government is cutting support to Australians who need it the most, and who are most likely to spend. These cuts mean that Australians doing it tough have less to spend on the basics and the essentials. It means they will have less to spend at local businesses. And it means local businesses will have less to spend on pay rises for workers or to hire more staff. These cuts to Newstart are not only cruel and vindictive, they are reckless. This payment is designed to help people get back on their feet – not put them into a downward spiral. LINDA BURNEY MEDIA RELEASE - WEDNESDAY, 23 OCTOBER 2019 ' Courtesy 'The NLP has got to go'
