Albo agrees! Albo is sticking with negative gearing - one of two things that are preventing ordinary hard-working Aussies from saving enough to buy their own forever home. The other - I wonder if Albo is going to prevent foreigners - especially billionaire chinks!! - from buying up all of OUR almost depleted stocks of existing housing?? There is a loophole - who is going to fix it? ps ... I do have a social conscience. And I'd like to see my granddaughter buy a forever home too especially since she will be marrying next year ....

First congratulations on granddaughter tying the knot... Albo has pledge $10bill to build 30,000 social and affordable houses over five years if Labor wins the next election....and interest rates will rise thereby creating a estimated 15% drop in house prices. Also nothing is static and things that have been shelved like negative gearing and taxes will have to be addressed. The LNP will always pander to the elite so do you stick with the elitist LNP rorting bastards wasting money or go for change....that's the difference. You read like there were never firebugs in the past to maintain your climate change denial....so what's the point trying to make you se the reality of it...none.

The only denying I ever see is ponto thinking our bush fires aren't started by pyromaniacs but instead are the result of climate change via burning fossil fuels.
Every fire catastrophe in WA this year's was by pricks starting horrific bush fires on 40 degree days... and they're still doing controlled burns choking us all to death setting "legal" fires in the Darling Ranges.
This attacking Australia and the pure unadulterated bulldust from the left has got to stop. Left policies through history were right for their time however since the left turned into whackos, whatever they say or claim these days needs more thorough scrutiny.
The right wingers are the other extreme money grubbing lunatics.
It looks like we will never get a government that will look after the land first. They exploit it so we are all doomed
Aren't we all blessed?

First congratulations on granddaughter tying the knot... Thank you Ponto! I am very happy for Stephie and her fiance and I'm glad they're going to get married first before having kids! That doesn't seem to be the way things are done these days unfortunately and there are far too many unmarried mothers on welfare which isn't ideal for the poor kids. You see, we can be nice to one another and agree on things ... if we just leave the wretched politics out of it! This is one reason I won't be disappointed if Labor wins. It has been a failing by the Libs over the years that they haven't addressed housing and exorbitant rental costs. Sydney is full up and yet they've kept bringing in more and more immigrants which has impacted on housing availability and prices. Rents have soared and made it almost impossible for young people to get ahead. I know when I was working that there were staff who were at the mercy of greedy landlords who would kick them out without a moment's concern for their welfare. I'm happy to say that my son is one of the good ones who has his tenants' wellbeing at heart. It comes with having a social conscience. But he still votes for the conservatives - but don't hold that against him!

When its all love and niceness I all for it...though there are solid arguments against having kids, as in better not to have been been born than face a cruel world of climate change and over population.. Something needs to be done about negative gearing, trust accounts, tax evasion, franking credits et al..and at least Labor has recognised that, tried and failed, as they face a negative Murdoch media campaign that supports the LNP.

Remember this article from 2019? Climate Warriors’ filming documentary Stuck In Arctic Ice – All 16 climate activists evacuated from ship by helicopter Arctic tours ship MS MALMO with 16 passengers on board got stuck in ice on Sep 3 off Longyearbyen, Svalbard Archipelago, halfway between Norway and North Pole. The ship is on Arctic tour with Climate Change documentary film team, and tourists, concerned with Climate Change and melting Arctic ice. All 16 Climate Change warriors were evacuated by helicopter in challenging conditions, all are safe. 7 crew remains on board, waiting for Coast Guard ship assistance. Something is very wrong with Arctic ice, instead of melting as ordered by UN/IPCC, it captured the ship with Climate Change Warriors. And in September which is the end of the northern summer you would expect some melting of ice! Which is why they always go there in summer - never winter. Now I wonder why that it is, lol. This is the second high-profile climate activist ice embarrassment. In July 2019 - the Northern summer: ‘We had expected more melting’: Thick Arctic ice forces Norwegian climate research icebreaker to turn back Global warming research ship forced to retreat due to ‘massive’ Arctic sea ice! “The ship will monitor the environmental and climate conditions in marine areas in the Arctic and Antarctic,” according to its website. The ship is designed to “perform a range of research missions, including climate change.” The ice is still 3m (10ft) thick, in mid-July. Even the researchers’ long special-purpose chainsaws proved hopeless, while the 20,000 horsepower Kronprins Haakon, at a cost of USD $175 million, failed miserably at attempts to push through. “In the middle of July, we saw a few signs of thawing and [assumed] that spring had come, said Captain Hansen, who for several decades has worked on various vessels in the Arctic. “We had expected more melting.” Klassekampen, a respected left-leaning Norwegian newspaper writes: “Polar bears were seen on Bjørnøya this past winter –located in the middle of the Barents Sea– which shows that the ice edge was very far south.” The pandemic has put a lot of research on hold. So it will be interesting to see how things are progressing post pandemic. Just having all that aircraft out of the skies did an amazing thing for the environment and pollution.
