To set Edge browser back to using Google as the search engine ... In Edge, click on the top right three horizontal dots ... Then select Settings ... Then click on Privacy, search, and services ... Scroll down to the bottom of that page and select "Address bar and search" Scroll down to the bottom of that page and in "Search engine used in the address bar" - choose Google.

BTW Stellar ... Did you know that those green ticks from Norton Safe Web can still be enjoyed even if you don't have Norton 360 or Life lock installed? I have that turned on in my Chrome browser ... Norton safe web is actually a free add-on or extension that you can add to most browsers for free. In your case, if you decide to uninstall Norton when it expires, that add-on will probably remain without you having to do anything.

I'm still working on this. I still can't find where Norton safe search is listed as my search engine. So I can't turn it off.

If you get desperate ... you could do a "Reset Settings" from Edge top right corner ... Settings: That will set everything back to the default and *should* get rid of Norton safe search but will save your favourites and passwords. It might make the search engine "Bing" but you can make it google again as shown a few posts earlier.

I might have to do that Gort! The problem with Safe Search is that it's next to useless. For a start, there's no option to change your search to Australian content. There's also no images half the time! Amazingly you will get the message - Your search for *whatever* did not match with any results. Search Suggestions: Make sure all words are spelled correctly Try different keywords Try more general keywords Try fewer keywords As I say - totally useless!

Windows 10 is also useless. Notice the Search Suggestions - there was no line spacing between those suggestions. But Windows 10 of course think they know better and add that spacing when posting. It is so infuriating. Surely WE know when we want to use a new paragraph and/or extra line spacing!!
