Scientists have shown that 95% of global food crops will thrive under an increased CO2 environment, great news for global food production, not good news for the lefts global warming death cult though. Tests done at 600ppm and 900ppm showed amazing extra growth, for example apples showed an increase in growth of 44.2% by doubling CO2, currently the CO2 level is 380ppm. www.co2science.org/education/reports/foodsecurity/GlobalFoodProductionEstimates2050.pdfThis table shows the percentage of extra growth achieved by doubling the CO2

Meanwhile, the chief economist for the International Energy Agency has come out and and stated that putting a price on Carbon Emissions is a priority, does that mean he believe in some (sic) left wing Warmist death cult, Garfy ?

So how is your greenhouse on Venus going? Oh yeah the Venusian greenhouse equation again because as everyone knows Earths .0387 % CO2 content is the same as Venus's 97% concentration

I thought this would just turn into another lefty we are smarter than thou circle jerk, Here's another one of those (sic) "lefties", that have joined the circle jerk : www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p012vj1qFatih Birol – Chief Economist, International Energy Agency Availability: 6 days left to listen Duration: 25 minutes First broadcast: Wednesday 09 January 2013 Not so long ago it seemed the world’s addiction to fossil fuels would soon be ended by dwindling supply. But that was before fracking, tar sands and deep sea exploration transformed calculations about global reserves of oil and gas. HARDtalk speaks to Fatih Birol - one of the world’s most influential analysts of the global energy market and its effect on the world economy and environment. Is the resilience of fossil fuel supply ... --------------------------------------- Garfy, you really have to stop making a fool of yourself. it's getting embarrassing.

Garfarty your Table 2. on food crops is based on untested theory, speculation on crops grown in ideal conditions. I wouldn't pin your hopes on information that has been cherry picked by your beloved 'Heartland Foundation'.
Increased CO2 will reduce transpiration of water from leaves via smaller stomata and in a controlled environment that can increase yield.
what is not factored in your figures is the increased pathogens in the leaves that lead to fungi attack, also in a warmer environment water the soil water is subjected to increase evaporation, leading to no net increase in yields.
Apart from land loss from rising seas effecting agricultural production, and increased drought and flooding, increased plant pathogens and increased insect attack, your rosy scenario that crops will increase under higher CO2 is lost in the real future world.
Stop cherry picking Heartland stuff.....as you have been told these are the same people who said there is no harm from tobacco smoke, acid rain is not caused by coal fired power stations releasing high levels of sulfur in the atmosphere, and DDT is beneficial and doesn't harm eagles and wildlife.....now they are using the same tactics to aid the fossil fuel industry, distorting and muddying the waters of truth discrediting the factual science.
Only a RW bozo would give credence to these bozos who create a lot of harm so the big end of town can maintain their profits with disregard for the future...and hence why you get lamblasted by people who are neither naive or gullible to believe their shit when its all been hoodwink in the a past.

WTF is Heartland?, these are peer reviewed scientific experiments gumby, just because they don't fit in with your doomsday end of the world Waco style apocalypse scenarios doesn't mean they aren't fact. Now toodle off and find some scientific experiments that prove plants DO NOT benefit from added CO2 ... seeya next week. ;D

Commonly occurring weather patterns well within natural variation, nothing to see here folks except shrill global warming hysterics cashing in. ;D So, according to you Garfy... "...the number of record heat days across Australia has doubled since 1960."are "Commonly occurring weather patterns well within natural variation." You dope Garfy. ;D He really wants to take the VI title off Skippy, eh Earl ?

Table 2 is not peer reviewed anything ...untested theory is all....otherwise cite the peers.

Vegetables respond well to extra CO2, you should try some.

Garfield, most life on this planet will not survive an average temperature variation of 3 degrees (ie if minimum temperatures decreased on average by 3 degrees or maximums increased by the same level), it might not impact directly, but lets take plants that require bees to polinate their flowers. If Bees can't survive because of rising temperatures, then how will those plants reproduce.
Back in about 1815 there was an event called a mini-ice-age, just 2 years in which northern hemisphere winters and summers recorded temperatures just a few degrees on average below norms resulted in large scale starvation by the most successful and adaptable organism in the history of life on this planet.
Us.
Rising sea levels are one danger, but we can deal with rising sea levels through variety of means and still continue as a species.
Take a large number of the organisms that make up the food chain that ends with us out of the equation and you'll see a larger problem.
Yeah yeah, I know, you'll be long dead before anything like that happens to the world.
I'm sure that's a great comfort to you.......

Even if all this global warming BS was true then you ask us to make the next leap of faith and that is to belive that the ALP are going to fix the climate And according to all the polls they've only got 8 months to do it so they better get cracking Too fuckin funny by half
