I am obviously not a Mormon these days, but boy do I love the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, they are literally world class.
They have the nickname "America's Choir", because they are respected the nation over. They are the go to choir for most national events, including the presidential inauguration. This year they did it remotely due to COVID-19:
They'll even get popular singers wanting to be with them, Andrea Bocelli:

I have a recording of the MTC performing Handel's 'Messiah', one of my favourite works and of which , I sung tenor solos when I was in the Kalgoorlie Choir many years ago.
Unfortunately, they sing it like they would rather be somewhere else.
The most uninspiring recording of it I have yet heard

You sing tenor?? Many moons ago. Voice is not as it once was, not that it was anything special. Nerves were my biggest enemy. I was given four days notice that I would be performing the solos at a concert in Esperance with an audience of 400 I think it was the most terrifying experience of my life but rewarding at the same time I even got through the horrid Potter's Vessel without too many trip ups!

You didn’t dash them in pieces, I take it.

Singing in front of an audience is no easy task. Good for you Grim. Indeed. There were two choirs, one from Kal the other from Esperance and we only combined for one rehearsal together on the afternoon of the first performance I fumbled through the rehearsal but got huge encouragement from the director and ensemble. Come performance, I held it together without a hitch thankfully!
