What, are you suggesting that Dan the Man is a closet anti-masker? Rubbish. He forgot to wear a mask, got sprung and was lumbered with a fine. The system works.
There but for the grace of inattentive cops go I.
I’m a ferocious supporter of mask wearing and yet it has happened that as I charge out through the front door to the bus stop I’ve forgotten to grab a mask from the hall table near the front door. In Adelaide mask-wearing on public transport is compulsory so I have a small packet of masks in my daypack just in case.
He made a mistake. Does he deny it? Is he refusing to pay the fine? Move on. Grow up Matt ya tabloid obsessive.

Masks are for show. That is all. And children shouldn't wear them.

Of course the police hierarchy can't say or do anything publicly but that cop will probably miss out on a promotion. They don't like ruffling the feathers of the bigwigs.

Grow up Matt ya tabloid obsessive. He forgot? In Melbourne, members of the general public are literally pounced on if they forget. Not Daniel Andrews though. He didn't forget, he believes he is above it. It wasn't just once. I personally don't care if he wasn't wearing one. Masks outdoors don't make much sense, especially if you're socially distanced from another person. But, it is the law by edict by the dictator.

I think they pinged poor old Dan in the same morning ... walking from his car to the back of the Parliament building (only with one other person socially distant and she was wearing a mask) ... then at the presser where, after talking to the media, he still forgot to bung a mask on afterwards.
Pretty petty stuff ... but as the boss, he had to cop it sweet.

Might be petty, but ordinary folk, many out legitimately within their 15km bubble, are violently arrested for not wearing a mask outdoors or just arrested for no reason. One guy (not on this video) was arrested for taking his mask off for having a smoke. Do you support the way Victoria is at the moment? I believe Daniel Andrews is losing support fast. I doubt he'll run as leader at the next Vic election.

Here is the video.
Petty? Yep, sure is. Not out protesting, just out with his girlfriend enjoying the so called extra freedoms dictator Dan granted. Shouldn't have removed that mask to have a smoke, especially with the VicPol Gestapo around.
Is Victoria communist China?

This police officer is now under investigation. Nothing will come of it. Cops investigating cops?
People in Victoria are increasingly becoming angry. They are doing everything the dictator is asking of them by getting jabbed and yet they have no freedom.
But he has forgetful moments:

MENTAL cases... the world is laughing at eastern states coppers. it's embarrassing. Just Victoria. The Police in NSW have never been that heavy handed in Sydney during the lockdown. Yes, they have been present, but not heavy handed. In fact over the last month they have been few and far between. An ordinary citizen could literally walk past a police officer in Sydney without a mask on outdoors and they wouldn't even look twice. The curve is on the way down in Sydney because people are able to go outdoors and get fresh air without feeling afraid of the police. The open air and sun are the best thing. If a person actually has the virus outdoors their aerosol will disperse into nothing within seconds, the sunlight will quickly start working to breakdown the protein envelope of the virus. It also increases Vitamin D which is incredibly important for immunity. Grandmothers knew best when they told the kids to go get some fresh air and sunlight.

With the country suffering more deaths per day than Australia has in the whole pandemic, the protesters said they wanted to provide guidance and support. “We want to save you from your nightmare!” one protester shouted, as the number of COVID cases in her country passed 44 million. “We want to save you from your free healthcare and low gun crime!” another cried out, pointing out that when an Australian gets sick they don’t have to choose between receiving treatment and re-mortgaging their house. “You should have that choice! Australia = paradise lost.
Overseas people have seen our elder abuse from the cops. A man sitting against a building drinking coffee was pepper sprayed. I hope that pair were sacked. They should be jailed for assault.

But he's not "copping it sweet" .... he's asked police for an "assessment" before he pays anything!

MENTAL cases... the world is laughing at eastern states coppers. it's embarrassing. You've got to remember this is all happening in Melbourne. Our police up here are doing just fine. They're preventing riots before they start. But the cops in Melbourne have had so many protests and riots that got totally out of hand, I can well understand their frustration. The police hierarchy is not handling the situation well at all. And beat police are not punching bags! If they lose their cool and deal a bit more roughly than usual with the scumbags, then too bad. If it were me, I'd have the water cannon out and blast them off the streets. I'd use rubber bullets, tear gas, whatever. Other police forces use these measures to control violent rioters and we need to use the same here. We've got these water cannon, so why not bring the damn things out and put them to the use they were designed for! Instead of parked somewhere just gathering dust and a total waste of money.

If Andrews gets a 3rd fine for not wearing a mask then that would justify more than a fine, a big kick up the bum would be appropriate by a size 11 boot wearing conga line of those who have been wearing mask..

/ Love it. I'm sure the woke-left will think the cartoon is sexist, but it is the truth. It is time to gag these CHOs. They need to learn, they provide advice only. Except in Victoria of course, where the CHO has power over the democratically elected government. Some people may think that is a good thing. I don't, as it means the government can't make decisions based on a variety of situations and advice received. The CHO can make a decision based on his narrow skillset, which impacts all other sectors of society. That is wrong. What is the point of having executive government if the ministers have no authority?

I would take the advice of a medical expert over a politician any day. But is this just a medical issue? It isn't. That is why we have elected governments with ministers who make decisions.

That is why we have elected governments with ministers who make decisions. if they make WRONG decisions, by not closing down soon enough for instance, then you shouldn't expect other states to pay for your balls-up.

Oh I get it! If you don’t agree with them they rioted, and if you do agree with them they protested! Life’s so simple when you allow yourself to be so reductionist
