Is Craig Kelly making the right decision here, by upholding the principle of the "presumption of innocence", or is he simply supporting a mate? Craig Kelly won’t sack chief of staff Frank Zumbo over sex charges
By James Morrow 6 JUNE 2021 DAILY TELEGRAPH Independent federal MP Craig Kelly has declared that he will not sack his embattled chief of staff Frank Zumbo, who was sensationally charged last week with a number of sexual offences against three women and a teenage girl. In the public service, both state and federal, if you are charged with a criminal offence you’re immediately suspended while those charges are being investigated and heard. If convicted you’re sacked. The various state and federal public services employ hundreds of thousands of people when all taken together as one group. It’s the biggest single category of salaried employees in the country. That’s the Australia that these people live in. And with their families we’re talking millions of people for whom this is the Australia that they live in.
Trust the Murdoch Hate Media to skew and misrepresent the Australia that ordinary people live in.
