I just noticed that Northern Beaches Libraries as they're now known have "Meghan and Harry - the real story" by Lady Colin Campbell. But it was at Mona Vale Library and I couldn't be bothered driving up there to borrow it. But no matter, you can reserve it with click and collect and they will bring it down to Manly Library. Should take a couple of days due to the weekend. I've only ever read one book on the royals before - and that was a book that was given to me by a cousin for my 9th birthday - Royalty Annual. I've never really felt like reading a book about any of the royals since and that included Princess Diana ... but Harry and Meghan are another kettle of fish altogether - and where Lady C is concerned I can imagine it's full of lots of malicious gossip, lol. Although I don't think they've called in the lawyers yet so it might be rather bland.

If she wrote it now after the Oprah Winfrey and all the latest shenanigans it would be GREAT. I never miss any of her YouTube instalments. Every second day, 1 hour worth of lady c, uncut.

She's quite a character! And when it comes to digging dirt, she has dozens of insiders amongst the aristocracy ready and willing to dish it out for her books and YouTubes, lol.

She's changed towards them as they have gotten worse.
Also she has educated the world about Giuffre.
And Diana approached Lady C to write her biography and that is how I found out Princess Di cheated on Prince Charles first.
Thank goodness she is an upholder of truth.

Her Maj looks quite amazing at 95. She's also on the ball - no memory problems to speak of. I watched The Queen's Green Planet last night. She was talking to David Attenborough as they walked through the gardens at Buckingham Palace and she told him the names of all the royals - most of them her ancestors - who planted various trees in the grounds. This programme was also about the Queen's Commonwealth Canopy - a very ambitious project to maintain a network of forest conservation programmes throughout the 54 countries of the Commonwealth. By 2016, 16 countries had become involved, and by 2019 the number was 46. This is the Queen's legacy - a very fitting testament to Her Maj's love of nature and a great credit to her that she was the only one to see the necessity of green conservation throughout the Commonwealth after the political establishment showed only apathy to the idea when first mooted by UK MP Frank Field. I think we're going to miss her! Whether Charles can rise to the occasion of filling her shoes once she's gone is another matter.

I realise it’s unseemly but we’re into some sort of death watch with the Queen and if Charles is expected to step into her shoes and find they’re a perfect fit then his reign is doomed from the start. Because of Charles’ age of necessity it’ll be a relatively short reign and he appears to have flagged that he’ll make it about downsizing the monarchy which is probably not a bad idea - there are plenty of barnacles to scrape off that creaking old edifice and too many snouts in the royal trough. I’d give him ten years at most and it’ll pass to William who, unlike his Dad, won’t have to wait until he’s pushing 80 to inherit the Top Gig. If Charles makes his tenure in the top job about housecleaning and downsizing that’ll be more than enough to keep him busy. He won’t be like the Queen, he can’t be like the Queen and it’ll be unrealistic to expect him to be like the Queen.
The closest parallel will be the reign that followed Queen Victoria, the current queen’s great great grandmother. That was the reign of Edward 7th. It lasted nine and a half years to be followed by the Queen’s grandfather George 5th. Edward 7th had been on a death watch for years too, waiting to inherit the top job. There was quite a lot of social ferment in his day. The two excellent BBC period series that I remember were “A Horseman Riding By” and the utterly superb “Duchess of Duke Street”, both of which give you the flavour of the time and provide an insight into why Edward’s reign is called the Edwardian Twilight. It was an era that was coming to an end, or drawing to a close before the world went to hell in 1914. Is that what Charles’ reign will be? The Carolingian Twilight? Nobody suggests that Edward failed because he wasn’t like his mother and I hope we don’t subject Charles to expectations that he would be manifestly incapable of fulfilling.

I reckon Liz's record of longest reigning British Monarch will stand forever. Great news the other day that Meghan has cost another tabloid some more $millions - keep up the good work Meghan.

She leaked her own letters. And the Americans following are disgusted the vacuous bint got away with perjury.

I was shocked the court ruled in favour of Markle. She's a lying bitch if ever there was one. Saying she never "intended to mislead the court." Absolute rot! There's nothing she does unintentionally. She gave pages from her 5 page letter to friends who "released" the info to the media and her father released the letter to the paper after he was defamed. She knew the letter would end up in the media and so she intentionally worded it to gain sympathy ... esp referring to her father as "Daddy."
I'm making my way through Lady C's book. It seems Meghan always struggled as an actress because she simply was not good enough. Typically she blamed it on her colour. She reckoned she wasn't black enough or white enough. But that was not the reason at all. She just wasn't a good enough actress - but she's definitely making up for that now! In fact her best work has been done as Harry's wife.
Her former husband was a successful producer and talent agent. Meghan moved in with him and expected him to put her forward for roles which she thought were perfect for her. Except he didn't agree because he didn't believe those roles were suitable for her. And he had integrity. He once told her that putting her forward for roles that he regarded as unsuitable would result in rejection for her and undermine his credibility in the industry. This resulted in Meghan becoming enraged and filled with a cold fury. She's a nasty little bitch if things don't go right for her and things didn't go right for a long long while until Suits came up. Even then although the producers of Suits sang her praises publicly, another Hollywood producer told Lady C that Meghan Markle was "not well regarded in the industry." But now that she is the Duchess of Sussex, people who wouldn't give her the time of day are now happy to consider doing business with her.
Harry is just another idiot who enables Meghan to get what she wants. That has always been to join the Hollywood A list which was never going to happen as a B grade actress. But that's Markle. She uses people. Like her father who gave her everything. Got her into the business, paid all her bills, gave her the best education which didn't come cheap considering the schools and university she attended. And this is how she repays him.
Harry should be aware that if ever steps out of line, Meghan will use the same tactics on him.

Yes and about her sudden memory loss at her court appearances.... aren't actors supposed to remember reams of dialogue?
I cannot stomach phony MeAgain.
She told people she is just one flight away from the throne, in other words, she'll be Queen. Can you believe the bitch actually thinks she'll be Queen one day?

It's probably unrealistic for the Queen to do anything at her age. But she understands that the royal family needs to be more relevant in these trying times. And having too many "snouts in the royal trough" is not the way to go.

It is a very depressing thought losing the Queen...
They are all after her properties so they can turn them into tourist attrations...turn her estates into housing subdivisions and breed more unwanted illiterate people... The world is a sewer, may as well finish it off completely.

She’s not dead yet! It’s a bit early to mourn her passing. Personally I believe she’s holding out for her 70th jubilee. No other British monarch in the history of this more than thousand year old monarchy has passed that milestone. After that a slow fading away and a gentle closing of the curtains. After her jubilee she should make Charles Prince Regent so he can do her job as an “acting king” while she puts her feet up with a gin & tonic (bugger doctor’s orders) and plays with her corgis.

I'm an early griever. I've have been grieving my 19.5 year old cats demise for the last 3 years. By the time the Queen dies, I won't be in shock, I'll already have shed tears. She has been an EXCELLENT roll model for bravery, duty, elegance, and everything refined. I feel sorry for Charles though taking up that HUGE job in what should be his retirement years. YEARS that should be devoted to watching grandchildren grow and enjoying their company.
