Could you please do something about reducing the size of images? They do it on other Proboards - by reducing the image by 40% to a more respectable size. Unfortunately Windows 10 doesn't give us that option. Whereas with Windows 8 and 8.1 you could click on an image, scroll down to Properties and then chose the appropriate size that you want to post. Windows 10 doesn't allow for "properties." It is the most aggravating operating system ever devised. In fact there are quite a few other things the mods could do that would speed everything up and make this a more user-friendly site. Other boards have all the bells and whistles whilst this board is sadly neglected. Unfortunately whilst we are in lockdown we are spending more time on our computers. Thank you.

The only options on Proboards is to have full size images or ... as is the case here ... set the forum settings to reduce the image size to match the post width. If you want to reduce image sizes further, you would have to download the image, and resize it in Windows Paint then upload the image to one of the image hosting sites - such as Imgur - then copy the link to that image and paste the link in your post. Quite a pain in the bum!

Yes, it is a pain!! That's why the other Proboards have automatic resizing of images.
Another thing that is annoying is having to edit virtually every post if you are adding images. Also Windows 10 automatically inserts double spacing when you want to do it yourself. So this makes lots of big gaps in your posts. I hate everything about Windows 10. They take over everything and you don't have any control over anything!!

Thanks! I'll try that next time I want to post a pic. But I still don't understand why the mods can't utilise Proboard's automatic resizing. And I can't understand why Windows don't allow for "properties" any more.

And I can't understand why Windows don't allow for "properties" any more. The only options I could find on my board (same version of software as this one) were to "retain full size" or "auto-fit to post width". I think "auto-fit to post width" is the setting on this board too. BTW ... that Control ++ stuff only changes the display zoom, it doesn't actually resize the images. p.s. Other boards may have some custom settings programmed. There is a way to reduce the images, but it is still a little messy ... See here for example: tstappedout.proboards.com/thread/2258/resize-images-on-proboards

I'll ask the mods how they do it because pics automatically resize to the smaller version. You then click on the image to get the full size if you want.

That'd be good to know. Meantime, if you toggle between "Preview" and "BB code" in your post ... there will be the: [img style=" max-width:100%;] showing up around each image which you can manually change to 50% for example.

Ooh! Breakthrough! I found that there is a Plugin from the Proboards Plugin library that can be installed very easily. Now we just need Jody to come on as Admin ... go to Plugins ... Plugins Library and select : Image Resize v2.0.4 Beta By Todge Resize over-sized images to fit your forum, with the option to either view them full size or add some protection, making it harder (but not impossible) for others to save your image Set the default horizontal to 400 say ... leave the vertical blank, enable the plugin and Presto! I've just installed it on mine ... newstalkback2.proboards.com/It works retrospectively. Neat.

Good work Gort. Now that you've done all the work for them, maybe they will follow through .... hopefully.

No lockdown in WA 😬 I do agree this site isn’t real user friendly I much rathered the simplicity of MSN groups , if It were easier , I’d be here so much more ....so instead I mostly play on FB pages

I hope you persevere a bit Megan. It will get easier when you find your way around. But there definitely are a few things the mods could do to make it more user friendly.
