I get sick of Christians who believe the Old Testament does not apply in the New Testament world. They believe upon the death and resurrection of Jesus that the law no longer exists.
It is a false notion and people who do not accept the divinity of the Laws of Moses will find themselves headed straight to hell.
When Jesus spoke, he talked about the ceremonial / ritualistic laws as being worthless. At no stage did he say that things such as homosexuality, murder, theft, etc were done way with.
There is a difference between the moral / criminal laws and the ceremonial / ritual laws.

Not sure who these christian caricatures are, Matt. Could you be a bit more specific?

Careful when you point that finger Matt - for the one finger you have pointing at someone there are three pointing back at you.
Romans 1:28-32 And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind to do what ought not to be done. They were filled with all manner of unrighteousness, evil, covetousness, malice. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, maliciousness. They are gossips, slanderers, haters of God, insolent, haughty, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, foolish, faithless, heartless, ruthless. Though they know God’s decree that those who practice such things deserve to die, they not only do them but give approval to those who practice them.
2 Timothy 3:1 to 5 But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— having a form of godliness but denying its power.

I think Matt has a point.
It's very PC to do away with the OT prohibition against homosexuality by saying it no longer applies but does that mean murder, incest and rape laws no longer apply?
As Matt says there is a distinction between moral / criminal laws and the ceremonial / ritual laws.
Some Christians prefer the approval of this world.

As opposed to someone who hates everyone? A self hater rejects who they are, rejects their heritage, they're ashamed of it.

You mean like when a Jew converts Christianity or something ? I have extended, not rejected. That's a contradiction. You're a hypocrite if you accuse that person of doing something that you're so blithe about.
