Who needs evidence when you have imaginary gods.

Exactly Garfie - its called delusions. Someone with a healthy mind just does not have these absurd beliefs. Religiosity is a sign of mental illness and that's the fact that any psychiatrist will tell you. You have a psychiatrist who will affirm that, Buzz? I don't think so, because they would be drummed out of the medical field the moment they did.

Bait and switch topic, since we aren't talking about people who think they are Jesus; You accused people who are religious.
Now either put up or shut up.

More sense than a talking snake. Strawman argument. Since the Bible is clear; this was no conventional serpent.

Bait and switch topic, since we aren't talking about people who think they are Jesus; You accused people who are religious. Now either put up or shut up. hey dont tell me what to do - religiosity is a sign of mental illness and that is a fact and if you dont believe me ask any psychiatrist. You're wrong, Buzz. Any psychiatrist would classify the mentally ill by the following criteria: 1. The mentally ill person may have other symptoms of psychopathology. He may draw unnecessary attention to himself. 2. Mental illness is characterised by disordered thinking and loss of goal-directed activity. 3. Extraordinary manifestations are not treated with sensible caution by the mentally ill. In contrast, authentic seers are prepared to await further judgement. 4. The mentally ill person does not have much reticence in talking about his experiences. He is often fascinated by the incredulity of others. Now name one individual who would define mental illness by your terms, I will be the first to see they are drummed out of their field. Either give me a name or let it be known you are full of shit. (As per usual.)

More sense than a talking snake. ...And yet, you believe in an oscillating universe, the random spontaneous generation of life, the presence of consciousness from the random mixing of chemicals, beneficial mutations, and the capacity for language from lower species, i.e. apes. As long as as it's NOT a serpent? Yeah....I can see how you might see how that makes more sense

Do you mean mutually INclusive, Phil? No. Read the Bible. See the words about Adam being created from the dirt and immediately brought to life. No millions of years of evolution. No genetic mutations over hundreds of thousands of years. Just created and inspired immediately. Modern Christians try very hard to escape from those words... but they can't. The Hebrew word Bara' does not always mean to create out of nothing, Phil. And in a sense, don't you ALSO believe man came from the earth? And the Bible doesn't say that Adam was immediately brought to life. The Bible indicates they were two very distinct and separate events. 1)"And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and 2)breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul." (You'll notice that this process is not repeated with the rest of creation.)

I think the bible bashers make it up as they go Earl, just like the man made climate change faithful do Really? Is that why EVOLUTION followed the idea of creation, subsequent to it's founder losing his faith? You don't suspect that some sort of ulterior agenda might have been involved in that? Thank you for the laugh, I really needed that today. ;D
