This is actually quite good. Far fetched of course but great special effects and a few on the edge of your seat moments. Perhaps not good for those with a fear of heights though Dwayne Johnson is quite good in it and mostly keeps his shirt on.

Just the name “Skyscraper” makes it sound like one of those bullshit American disaster movies.
Did it catch fire? Or did the elevators plummet to the bottom of the shafts? Or did a gunman/gunmen/gunwomen run amok spraying bullets everywhere?

Some times the best therapy can be a frivilous movie, and Sky-Scraper sounds just like that sort of Movie. Of course it would be a mindless "disaster" Movie, but so what ? I really doubt that the producers and all those involved are really pretending that it is otherwise. If you want a pretentious wanky wanna be, then don't go see it.
