The Christians think that Jesus is Allah.
Buzzo, Allah is the moon God, Allah is capricious according to the Muslims.
The Christian God is none of the above.

The Abrahamic religions have the same deity Skip.
Sorry Buzzo but that is so theologically wrong as to defy reality.
Islam says you are saved through works. Christianity says you are saved through faith and grace.
So if it's the same God how can you possibly reconcile the two?
Sorry mate but I'm becoming increasingly concerned about your lack of knowledge of the Christian faith. You seem to always attack a very mistaken view of Christianity.

Islam says you are saved through works. Christianity says you are saved through faith and grace. Both are a load of bollocks and dark-ages clap-trap.

Buzz is correct. The God of Islam is the same God as the God of Christianity. Oh here we go again. Earl dives in with his mantra. So please, reconcile the two different methods of salvation - faith and deeds or was this something else you slept through Bible College on?

"So if it's the same God how can you possibly reconcile the two?"
The same way you have to reconcile you share the same God as the Catholics, Westboro Baptists, Greek Orthodox, Mormons, Seventh Day Adventists....

Is that really the primary difference between the paths to God and Allah? The method of salvation? To my mind, doing work in the name of your God makes far more sense. (Assuming that work takes a non violent form)
Allah rocks!
I am being mischievous, of course...but you have to wonder at the number of westerners, some high profile who convert to Islam. Sure, there are other faiths that convert to Christianity in likely equal number, but what is the driver?
What makes one more attractive over the another to 'religion shoppers'?

I'm not referring to the minor differences in theology Skippy. I'm stating a fact: The God of Islam is the same God as Christianity. I'm not referring to minor differences in theology either Earl, it's a huge difference whether you are saved through faith or works. Goodness sake Earl didn't you say you attended Bible College??!!!! Did you sleep through it? You're stating fact? No your stating erroneous opinion because if you really understood the theology and history of each faith you wouldn't make such an erroneous claim.

Faith in the proposed revelation you choose.
Yes you can religion shop but picking the 'nicest' one doesnt mean it's the most accurate or indeed truth.
Christians believe our faith because of our belief in the revelation of God against the backdrop of faith, scientific, archaeological, historical evidence and the quality of the Bible. You should never attach to a faith without checking the evidence as the Apostle Paul rightly stated buddy.

The doctrines of eg The Trinity Salvation through faith vs works Whether Jesus was God are huge theological differences which cannot be reconcilled between Islam and Christianity. To say the God of Islam is the God of Christianity is hugely wrong by virtue of their inherent principles. Did you really go to bible college or where you just making that up?
