Today I was out and about, and part of my outing was to Hyde Park in Sydney, where I was eating my lunch.
I was looking around at all the buildings, the trees, the grass and the birds. People were walking around, some laying down, others reading.
It was a fantastic moment, a confirmation that God does exist, and Jesus is our Lord and Saviour. We're all part of the plan, it is a perfect plan.
It is but a miracle that we even exist, that our hearts beat, and that the birds sing. It is a fine balance, but at the centre of this balance is God.
PRAISE JESUS.

You're delusional.
Buildings, trees, grass, birds, people walking around, people laying down and people reading don't confirm anything about the imaginary god inside your head. All they confirm is that your mental processes are flawed. Have you been taking LSD?

God is the creator of all, you cannot disprove it.

I can't deny that every time I look at nature in all its glory, I give God a bit of a pat on the back. He certainly is creative

I can't hear the birds sing these days, the pitch isn't to the standard. But I know they do sing, and their songs are actually songs to the Lord, it is their way of worshipping Him.
Even the animals praise Jesus.

Animals are creatures of God, they know they have a creator, they worship him. You need to be locked up in a rubber room for your own safety.

Matt, animals know nothing for the sort even I can accept that. Yes he is their creator but they aren't aware of that.

I can disagree with Matt about most things but I would never ridicule or show disrespect to someone who has a moment in which s/he experiences a sense of the numinous - which is what a spiritual moment is. Matt, don't despise words you might be unfamiliar wth. "Numinous" is a good word to describe your "spiritual moment".
Poets, composers, artists ... creative people in general frequently find that a sense of the numinous deepens their art and invests it with meaning. I think I might be having a numinous moment right now: I'm sitting in the quiet of my motel room in country NSW. I'm an early riser. The motel is in a lot of bushland and the morning bird chorus is starting to stir. There's a whip bird in a tree quite close whose single note gathers strength and ends in a "whip" sound of crystal clarity in the morning stillness. It's quite sublime.
When Julia Gillard gave a speech in Parliament after her father's death - and it was in response to speeches by other members expressing sympathy and condolences - she ended by quoting from the Welsh poet Dylan Thomas. Now there was a poet who understood what a numinous moment was! And maybe if paleo-atheists like KTJ and Buzz listened to verses by Dylan Thomas as read by the great Welsh actor Richard Burton they might experience the odd numinous moment too.
Here is the verse from Dylan Thomas that Gillard recited to Parliament in honour of her recently deceased Dad. Thomas had written it as an epitaph to his own dead father - a convinced atheist!
Do not go gentle into that good night, Old age should burn and rave at close of day; Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
Though wise men at their end know dark is right, Because their words had forked no lightning they Do not go gentle into that good night.
Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay, Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight, And learn, too late, they grieved it on its way, Do not go gentle into that good night.
Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay, Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
And you, my father, there on the sad height, Curse, bless, me now with your fierce tears, I pray. Do not go gentle into that good night. Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

God is the creator of all, you cannot disprove it. Don't have to disprove it. You cannot prove that any God exists.

Nor can you or any other atheist prove God doesn't exist.

Nor can you or any other atheist prove God doesn't exist. Don't have to. The onus is with those who claim there to be a God to prove it. They can't.

Buzz I pray that you are open minded enough one day to allow God to show you what you need. However would your pride stop you from sharing your experience.....I truly hope not. That's all I have to say.

Jesus is all about love, anyone who follows Him would never do harm to another.

They did not follow Jesus, they followed the Pope, who is the leader of the great whore that is told about in revelation.
