The 25th of December as a date did exist in the calendar in use at the time of Jesus birth but nowhere in the bible does it say that is when Jesus was born.

Jesus was born nowhere near 25 December, and it most certainly was not snowing at his birth.
In fact, most of the celebrations and depictions at Christmas time are fictional. It amazes me how some Christians get all offended that nativity scenes are no longer shown.
Well GOOD, because the nativity scene is not accurate, and is unbiblical.

I am happy to celebrate his birth when society does.

I am happy to celebrate his birth when society does. Sure, but the stories around Christmas are all made up. Shit about the three wise men. Not once is that mentioned.

Matt....none of that makes any difference to me. I guess I am just easy going regarding faith and allow people to worship how they want and believe what they want. It isn't up to me to tell people when or how they should celebrate their Xmas. Perhaps if people had faith similar to mine there would be far less fighting in this world.....oh, and on this board.
