Just shows that atheists are better people, but we already knew that. :-)

In reply I can only say that in my working life, and this is just an empirical observation, over several decades of working with teenage kids in government schools, kids who came from a churchgoing family were often the most "grounded" and, dare I say it, happy. They tended to have a good work ethic too. That's not to say bad things about kids from different backgrounds. Probably the most steadying influence on a kid, next to stable loving home, was sport. Kids who were into sport and played regularly for some team or other were very confident inside their own skins - as the French say! In other words they were wel-co-ordinated and were more confident in group work. So there are all those considerations as well. Next to that I'd place the ISCF kids. There WAS one kid (and I really don't want to abuse the kid's privacy by saying too much) whose family was Plymouth Brethren. Poor kid, very unhappy situation at school, couldn't relate to peers etc etc. The full catastrophe. But if I must generalise (you guys are!) it seemed to me that those kids with Uniting Church background were well-socialised, charitable and just plain nice! If you want to quibble about that it would have to be on chicken-and-egg grounds. Why were they nice? Because of their stable loving homes or because of the role church played in their lives? All of the above I guess, with the whole being greater than the sum of its parts.
It's a bullshit article for a bullshit thread.

I said it was a bullshit article for a bullshit thread. I'd call that an expression of opinion, not censorship. Don't "verbal" me, Yorick! On the other hand do your worst!

Yes, I'm serious. You have a real problem with a select few on this board in terms of a knee-jerk desire to attack the poster instead of arguing the topic. That’s rubbish. I realise this has become a mantra for you and any "discussion" with you regarding this fantasy of yours won't get anywhere so I'll leave you wallowing in your silly and puerile delusions. As for the rest, your petulant "you're-picking-on-me" silliness colours the other agendas you bring up on the Religion Board, rendering discussion useless. Yet another indication that the Religion Board is dysfunctional, troll-ridden and should be closed.
