But no, FOAD stands for "f*** Off And Die" doesn't it. Now I agree that KTJ has a certain nuisance value. But no more than that! Wishing him dead is taking it to an extreme. Maybe Skippy's counsel to ignore KTJ has a certain merit. Don't sweat it. It doesn't worry me....I've got a thick skin. Besides, I managed to get a real good reaction from Buzzy-boy! I think this sort of comment should be deleted by the mods. If you were to draw a line in the sand, telling someone to "f*** off and die would have to be it. So why wasn't it deleted you would have to ask? Especially after all the problems with Facebook and the same sort of comments and the often tragic results.
Buzzock said the same to me. He is obviously on a short fuse and he cannot bear anyone having a different opinion to him. He becomes extremely abusive and offensive. I believe there are some mental health issues involved but still that is no excuse.
Kiwi and I are mentally tough and we give as much as we take - probably more so at times. But neither of us would ever stoop to that level of abuse of another member. I hope the mods will consider this carefully and act on these extreme comments.

Yeah, I guess so. It's just that I never send PMs as you well know. And I never complain about anyone. After working in the asylum you can take anything. But those people have a mental illness and it's expected. You just wouldn't expect that sort of abuse on this forum.
As I said, it's a line in the sand that has been crossed. I've never seen any member ever come out with it before, maybe hinted in a roundabout way, but never actually told someone to eff off and die. In a way it's either terribly childish or posted by someone with mental health issues. But as I said, that's not an excuse. If you want to stay a member on this forum you will have to learn to self moderate your comments.

I'm not even the slightest bit worried about being told to FOAD.
It has about one-thousandth of the annoyance value of a flea-bite when I am asleep.
As the late Dr Jack Salonen use to counsel at ANTB (hosted by MSN), “It's hard-core on terra-firma and at MSN: harden up!” Although Altair never used to take too much notice of that and regularly went running off telling tales to MSN resulting in the group being shut-down yet again.

KTJ the issue is bigger than you and it doesn't matter what you think about it. If we're going to make a general principle then it can't be acceptable for any member to wish another member dead.
That's the general principle in any case and as always the devil is in the detail. Buzz didn't exactly say straight out "Fuck off and die" to KTJ. He obscured the sentiment behind an acronym. So he hinted at it rather than shoved it directly in the board's face which is what someone like garfield might have done in a similar situation. It's borderline rather than blatant. It's a judgement call and (thankfully) I'm not a mod so I'm not the one who decides what is OK and what isn't. But IMHO, I've seen worse things on boards. It's not a hanging offence and I still think Skippy's advice, which was to let this one pass through to the keeper, was the one to follow.
