A MAN who mistakenly shot his cousin in the face when he thought he was shooting a member of a rival family has been jailed for more than eight years.

Waleed Haddara, 28, was found guilty by a jury of intentionally causing serious injury to Sabet Haddara, and reckless conduct placing Antonio Sawan in danger of serious injury, over the Altona North shooting on the night of June 6, 2010.

Haddara fired six shots into a car after mistakenly believing a member of the Chaouk family was inside. The trial heard Matwali Chaouk had fired shots at Haddara from his car about six months earlier.

Yep all those crims in Sydney and Melbourne look the same ... Lebs and other MEs, Pacific Islanders (especially Tongans and Maoris) and Somalians and Abos.

That's not to say that Aussie bogans don't get involved in the criminal industry ... it's just that they are minor players compared to the others - stealing to support their drug habits.
