Judging by the list I think I'll remove Central and South America from my Bucket List. No, hang on, neither region was ever there in the first place!
Rio's looking like a nice place to have th Olympics?

I camped at Alice Springs a few years ago on a motorcycle trip and didn't think it was too bad Buzzock. Aileron, Ti-Tree and Elliot were places I wouldn't like to stay. Bl**dy terrible places!

People are warned to stay in their houses at night and not go out under any circumstances. As a result the memorial Club and RSL Club have gone broke - people are too frightened to go out at night. I camped at Wycliffe Well in NT one night. At dusk the campground, with rolled barbed wire along the perimeter fence, is locked up and there's no going in or out. The same as the campground on the waterfront at Ceduna in South Australia. At both places you can hear the Morlocks roaming, screaming, drinking and breeding in the surrounding areas. They're both bug planets!!!

Then you know exactly what I am talking about. You have seen it. I've been fortunate enough not to have experienced bad violence but I have avoided some towns when travelling, relied on local knowledge and advice when staying in particular areas and generally kept one's wits about them when in "certain" towns. I just haven't experienced the worst of Alice Springs. Thousands of motorcyclists are descending on there in 2014 (around May?) for the week-long Ulysses AGM. Hopefully the locals will have enough sense not to pull anything on with the visiting bikers!
