Sea Shepherd need to start arming themselves with torpedos and surface-to-surface missiles.
A few Japs need to die! trouble with that it, how loud these 'environmental commandos" squeal when anyone puts a finger on them. they go down there playing chicken with large ships, they throw stink bombs, shine laser pens in peoples eyes, board other peoples ships which is illegal piracy .. then run squealing to the fucking ICC at Hague when their boat gets dinged..

The Japs should invade New Zealand while they're down there and use it for a whaling station.

so you want to murder people? Wasting Japs would only be removing subhumans from the gene pool.
It would merely be payback for Jap attrocities against Aussies and Kiwis during WWII.
No great loss, really....after all, the Americans exterminated tens of thousands of them in the mere blink of an eye, and not just once, but twice.

One day we'll see this. Then I might become a believer ... A few years ago in New Zealand, environmentalists took an Australian mining company to court and forced them to spend almost a year looking for and removing, then creating another similar habitat for native snails on the Denniston Plateau near Westport on the South Island's West Coast before they were allowed to prospect for coal and other minerals. It cost the Aussie mining company tens of millions of dollars and the cost is ongoing, because the Environment Court forced them to pay for the continuing upkeep of the habitat the native snails were moved to. The Aussie company even whinged to the Supreme Court of NZ last year claiming the ongoing cost was too great, but the Supreme Court found against them and ordered full court & legal costs against them as well, declaring that the mining company KNEW it was a condition of them prospecting & mining in that area as mandated by the Environment Court. If the Aussie mining company don't like it then they are free to piss off.

A plan?? Nature's got a plan?? You're not the atheist you claim to be, Garfield! Ya love guns, you love everything about guns. You love people who love guns and you love what guns do. The more rounds they spray the better. You loathe immigrants. You think they're all here to bludge on the australian taxpayer and to plot Ausralia's downfall. You regard any sort of government as a left wing conspiracy. Hayek is your poster boy and libertarianism is your creed. You tick all the boxes for a conspiracy-theory-obsessed paranoid far right extremist ... and up until now I've made one exception: you've been a lefty on God. And now you're talking about "Nature" as some sort of cosmic force with a consciousness of its own that has a "plan" ... I always said you're ripe for conversion, Garfield! It's happening ...

Campaign Update 28/2/13: The Sun Laurel and the Sam Simon are 140 miles way from the Nisshin Maru and two harpoon ships, which continue to be tailed by the Steve Irwin and the Bob Barker.
The three Yushins attempted to kill whales yesterday but our helicopter and small boat crews prevented them from taking any whales.
The 9th Circuit court has labelled Sea Shepherd USA as pirates, when in fact it is the whalers that are the real pirates, breaking Australian and International Laws. Sea Shepherd is upholding Australian and International law with all campaigns guided by the United Nations World Charter for Nature, which provides authority to individuals to act on behalf of and enforce international conservation laws..
Japan has finally come out and completely labelled their poaching activities for what they are, commercial whaling in an established whale sanctuary.

I was reading the Judgement this morning, I think the worry is that having declared the Sea Shepherd to be a pirate ship, it may give the Japanese free rein to attack it physically in a very serious way. Time for Australian Naval Ships to get into the picture. 'Embodiment of piracy' Excerpt: "The 9th US Circuit Court of Appeals issued an injunction last year banning Sea Shepherd from going within 500m of Japan's ships. Its ruling on Monday clears the way for Japan, which calls the activists terrorists, to launch more extensive legal action against them. Judge Kozinski overturned an earlier district court ruling which had sided with the activists. "When you ram ships, hurl glass containers of acid, drag metal-reinforced ropes in the water to damage propellers and rudders, launch smoke bombs and flares with hooks; and point high-powered lasers at other ships, you are, without a doubt, a pirate," he said. "The activities that Cetacean [the Japanese whalers] alleges Sea Shepherd has engaged in are clear instances of violent acts for private ends, the very embodiment of piracy." He added that the illegality of whaling in Australian waters did not excuse Sea Shepherd's activities. "It is for Australia, not Sea Shepherd, to police Australia's court orders." Sea Shepherd argues that the US court has no jurisdiction over foreign-flagged vessels sailing in Australian waters with an international crew" www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-21589352

If the Aussie mining company don't like it then they are free to piss off.
I agree. In Australia, they pay people like my neighbour to trek through miles and miles of outback tagging rare and endangered species of plants and tag them... then the mining companies have to run pipe lines around them.... they have to look after our environment and so they must abide by other peoples.

I took lots of beautiful pictures of the Steve Irwin last year.. I'll take some more when they come back to Fremantle... they cannot leave the Port unless my brother in law lets them... Another brother in law was a shipmate on it one year.
