I enjoy a southo and pepsi max from time to time and might have the very odd white wine but that's about it. I have tasted a couple of moscarto's, theyre ok but very sweet. Living in a wine region you'd think I would be in my element but no

I like Ice Wines, and type of domestic wine called 'Cariboo'. (It's from Quebec, and sort of tastes like a mixture of red wine and moonshine.) I enjoy a good beer now and then, on hot days.
But generally just simple coffee with 3 creams and 3 sugar, are my drink of choice.

I don't mind a sip of beer on a very hot day but a sip is all I can have otherwise I get a headache from it. Same as red wine, it gives me a headache too.

I just picked up a case of 21-year-old barrel-aged whisky about three months ago. It came from a distillery in Dunedin that closed down several years ago, with another distillery in Oamaru taking over their stocks of aging whisky. Earlier this year, they started blending and bottlling it and after sampling some I ended up splashing out and purchasing a case. Then, last month, the whisky was entered in whisky competitions in Scotland and it cleaned up and won the Grand Champion prize. Now the price of the stuff has gone through the roof, and I'm sitting on a case of it at the pre-competition price. With a bit of luck, it should last me for most of the rest of my life, as it is of such good quality that I only drink a drop of it occasionally. It is sooooooo smooth....

Is that named after the Caribou? ...And of course I spelled it wrong, lol. (I really need to spell check more often.) Yes, it was named after a hunter's drink that was originally mixed with caribou blood. I found an article about it on wiki: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caribou_(drink)
