Like, good script writing? ...a plot? ...The fact you have an Australian playing the part of a Canadian?

We're a very versatile people, Dib. Australians play Americans, Canadians, Brits, ancient Romans, Israelis ...
Do the names Nicole Kidman, Russell Crowe, Cate Blanchet, Eric Bana, Geoffrey Rush and Toni Collette mean anything to you? Mind you I've never heard of a Canadian playing an Australian. I saw a trailer once of the movie "Evil Angels" based on a true story of a baby taken by a wild animal in a campsite in central Australia. They never found the baby's body. The mother was charged with the baby's murder, found guilty and did jail time only to be acquitted years later when new evidence was uncovered. It was a sensational case and still divides people. The movie "Evil Angels" is a depiction of those events with Meryl Streep playing the role of the mother. Her version of an Australian accent was so grotesque that it put me off going to see the movie. Mind you the Brits aren't bad at imitating our accent - or rather they're getting better at it. The British actor Benedict Cumberbatch does a good Australian accent when he plays Julian Assange in that movie that's just coming out "The Fifth Estate" which I think will be a "must see".
Who are the Canadian actors? William Shatner of course and I'm sure there's plenty more where he comes from. Our problem is that when a Canadian goes to Hollywood s/he turns into an American and loses the "oot & aboot" "Canada eh!" way of talking. Which is a pity because I like the Canadian way of talking. I saw a French Canadian movie decades ago "Jesus at Montreal". As a French speaker myself I could never mistake Canadian French for any other sort of French. It really hits you. I learned "French" French. When I encountered French Canadians in Canada and spoke in French to them they assumed I was from the other side of the Atlantic.
