I know one thing,..seeing the packs on the table at the bar turns my stomach and I don't even smoke...the rest of us have to suffer along with it.

If you do actually "see packs on the table at the bar" does that mean that in Qld you can still smoke indoors? I have such an aversion to tobacco smoke that I can't bear to be anywhere where people are smoking. What that means is that invariably I can't sit in the outdoors part of a restaurant or café because invariably that's where the smokers are. So I sit indoors.

I am the same as you Pim. I can't be anywhere near it. Makes me feel sick and gives me a terrible headache too.

Well spotted Pim! Actually, not in public...I was referring to the carport-style bar (ie roof, no sides) on the site I work at which has this stupid arrangement of yellow lines delineating smoking from non-smoking areas...all well and good until someone turns the ceiling fans on! I am increasingly intolerant, unfortunately that makes me antisocial. Queensland are (for a change!) very progressive in this regard. Melbourne still allows smoking in outdoor eating areas.
