no it isn't its an interpolation by Eusebius. it is not authentic and the first time it was ever quoted was by Eusebius. The general scholarly view is that while the Testimonium Flavianum is most likely not authentic in its entirety, it is broadly agreed upon that it originally consisted of an authentic nucleus with a reference to the execution of Jesus by Pilate which was then subject to Christian interpolation [/b].[13][14][15][16][17][18] Although the exact nature and extent of the Christian redaction remains unclear[19] there is broad consensus as to what the original text of the Testimonium by Josephus would have looked like.[17] The references found in Antiquities have no parallel texts in the other work by Josephus such as the Jewish War, written 20 years earlier, but some scholars have provided explanations for their absence.en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Josephus_on_JesusIts all horseshit - more lies told by religious cranks [/quote] There you have it. It is broadly agreed that the original text contained a reference about Jesus. You can no longer make the claim that there is no first century evidence.

I think this is pretty damning actually:
the Testimonium Flavianum is most likely not authentic
was then subject to Christian interpolation.
the exact nature and extent of the Christian redaction remains unclear
In other words is a fake.

I think this is pretty damning actually: the Testimonium Flavianum is most likely not authentic You've conveniently omitted the "in it's entirety" part. --(That means part of it is true.) If you read further on, the context states: " It is broadly agreed upon that it originally consisted of an authentic nucleus with a reference to the execution of Jesus by Pilate
..which *subsequently* (this is an important distinction) was then subject to Christian interpolation." *EMPHASIS ADDED* This means it is believed the Christ reference existed PRIOR to the Christian interpolation. This invalidates your claim that there were no first century references to Jesus.

Now maybe you can get the help that you require. Its not an admission its a statement about you - I know I am fine - other than PTSD. But you are delusional with religiosity - and that means you are in urgent need of psychiatric care.
