Do you agree that is what the Bible prescribes?
"Be subject to one another out of reverence for Christ. " -Ephesians 5:21

That has more to do with the culture the Bible was written in.

Yes. Descriptive context, not prescriptive.
The Bible is describing the way things were, not how they ought to have been.
Saying "A stone was thrown at Peter", is not the same as saying, "You ought to throw stones at Peter."
(Atheists are often confused by prescriptive/descriptive references.)

Yes. Descriptive context, not prescriptive. The Bible is describing the way things were, not how they ought to have been.So everything in the Bible is true then and as it happened?

It all must be true, no contradiction from the Vicar of Dibley.

It says that woman is made from man's rib. But that isn't what you said, was it? It is in slightly different terminology. Remember, I have asked you this on several different occasions with you avoiding the issue. So please excuse me from rephrasing due to your lack of response.

You're being dismissive now. That's not very reasonable, Earl. At least he replied.

You need to be more specific. I expect you mean literally, true? Not necessarily. The Bible uses a lot of literary devices, and metaphors. Much like we do, when we say "That shirt cost me an arm and a leg" (We don't literally mean we are minus 2 limbs.) Which is why it's important to understand the cultural context it was written in, and not just read it like a newspaper.

So please excuse me from rephrasing due to your lack of response. Do I believe that Eve came from Adam's rib? A literal rib? I don't know. I've studied the word “rib” down to the root and it basically comes out as “curve”. We already know the difference between men and women comes down to that pesky single 'Y' chromosome, which is essentially a mutated X chromosome with a missing branch. But here's another thought: The chemical formula of testerone is C19 H28 O2. The chemical formula of the estrogen is C18 H24 O2.

I would LOVE to see how you gleaned that logic.
Since statistically there could be many reasons why I had not answered.
