Been seeing more and more of this in the news, funny thing is if a white honky c*** abuses another white honky c*** thats fine, in fact he can kick the f***in shit out of him and that won't rate a mention on the nightly news either.
So how in the f*** did we become a society that accepts abuse and violence to public transport users if they are of the same race yet frown upon it when its directed at a person of a different race, in fact we even accept it if the abuse is directed to a different race as long as the abuser is non white and the victim is white.
Why is the abuse of any public transport user deemed worse than anothers due to the colour of their skin?

As usual the thread is falling apart as it polarises between the xenophobes who claim it's all about the ethnic minorities, and everybody else who happens to think that verbal abuse, whether racial or any type of loud verbal aggression on public transport is not just an assault on the target of said abuse, but also on the innocent bystanders who find their privacy invaded by the aggression. To me it's a no-brainer and I'm not interested in making excuses for people who behave in an aggressive and threatening way on public transport. Interestingly, I googled public transport in NSW and also SA but nowhere on either of their websites did I easily find an emergency number to ring to alert the authorities in the event that I'm a passenger minding my own business and this sort of rubbish suddenly explodes in my vicinity. So how do we stop it? By reacting as we would if someone spat in the bus/train, or was loudly flatulent, or relieved himself in the bus/train or ... whatever! These are offensive behaviours and most people would find them unacceptable if they occurred in their presence - particularly in a confined space such as a bus or a train where you can't move away from the offensive individual. I'd put aggressive threatening behaviour down there with dropping your daks and evacuating your bowels in a confined public space. You'd get arrested for that, and people who indulge in aggressive threatening behaviour should be arrested too. Why on earth is this even a matter for debate??  |
