It is being reported Julia Gillard is to resign, and Greg Combet is to take over!

Where ? Even if she did resign, there would have to be a spill, and in that situation, there is no guarantee that Combet would take over.

Combet or Shorten would be elected Labor leader standing on their heads, whether Gillard contested or not.. Only reason either is not leader already, is that both are too self-interested and shallow show-ponies in character to want to be the ones who lose government as leader, and become Ops leaders. Both are just more Labor union hacks anyway, despite all the self-promotion.
Lets hope this report is true, and we are rid of this bitch, havent seen overnight news yet...but Id be surprised if we have seen the last of her that suddenly and easily. But on the other hand, although it is a tantalising thought to not have to listen to Mrs Headcold anymore, we all are looking forward to Gillards looming annihilation at the actual poll. (I bet Kevin Rudd is)

All I have seen of the news is Julia Gillard has given a pep talk to the AWU...along the lines of we can still win.
And perhaps maybe, Johnnie had worst polls at a similiar time frame before he won an election.
Certainly "each and every day" Shorten and Howes are the Labor power and Jules is their girl.

Got a link for that breaking news story yet? Watch ABC 24... that is where I heard about it... of course, it won't happen... The labor party would look REALLY stupid having a third leader change in three years.. they won't do it!

Shorten is being groomed for the job.....since they got rid of Rudd his hands are tainted with blood....that won't be forgotten.
No one will want to take over a sinking ship though...Rudd, Shorten or Combet, and Julia who has come through the ranks with the culture I pat your back and you pat mine won't give a monkey's as she retires with a nice pension,... and the common mug punter has to work to 67.

Laurie Oakes said this morning 3AW that if he had to bet, Gillard remains to lead at the election.
But he says her actual support in Caucus is below 50%...theyre just as afraid of a spill, as they are of annihilation under Gillard.
But Oakes said although Gillard riding it out is his slightly favorite outcome as a bookie, it would be very easy for the tipping point to come and Gillard to be ousted.
Other pundits say she is one bad poll or gaff from overthrow. Shes a dreaful woman...but Rudd is a dreadful man. No secret that Rudd is loathed by Partei, where Gillard is reasonably popular mit Der Partei so far as that goes.
No prizes for analysing all along that that is the only reason Rudd didnt return months or more than a year ago.
But thats also the main simple reason that Rudd was tossed in the first place, hes an intolerable affected little shyt, for some reason, the Australian public has not yet, maybe just not had time, maybe Rudds act in public was just good enough, that Joe Blow never woke up to Rudd.

mit der Partei
Impressive, Colonel! "Partei" is feminine, as are all German nouns ending in "-ei"; "mit" is a prepostion that takes the dative so .... the definite article has to be both dative case and feminine. So "mit der Partei" is "richtig!" or "korrekt!"
Ich gratuliere!

there is this word on the side of a Bittburger can, I think it is, i asked these nice German and Austrian chicks who were in my suite on Hawaii what it meant, they sort of struggled to define it to, but they offered something, cant recall what it was, but its not even in any online translation engine...must be some kind of proper-name trademark substance or something..
"GebohrStoffe.." perhaps its their own patent ingredient or process name, or something..
I read the full spiel off the side of the Bitburger can, and they were very impressed with my pronunciation...I can pronounce it, but truth be told, I only one -third maybe understood what I was reading...

I'll get back to you on that one, Colonel, but right now I have to make a run for it if I'm to get to a dental appointment on time.
