The Matterhorn has 3 layers of rock in its formation Religious people have three layers of rock in their skull too, in order to protect them from the inconvenience of having to face science and physics.

Science and religion are totally incompatible, its nice that the religious have embraced science in the last fifty years after completely ignoring it for the last two thousand but lets face it they've only done that in an effort to remain relevant.

hahahahahahaha I love that series - How the Earth was Made - its brilliant. At one point New York was under 1,000 foot of snow. The Matterhorn was under so much snow only the tip stuck out. There was another show all about the geology of WA - wow that was astounding I hope they put it on again Poppycock, according to the bible the matterhorn was created from one of gods giant shits, and the fossils are remnants of the sea food meal he had the night before ;D Shit man imagine if I was around when they were writing the bible, I would have done a much better job of it than those poofter amateurs.

Geology is amazing stuff - yes indeed it is. I don't have to lose a single word of the Bible to see the wonderful things of creation actually I appreciate them all the more. Don't be put off by us imperfect Christians. You should get to know God Buzz - you'd like him.

The Bible is a record (previously an oral tradition and later written and translated) in which the people try to fathom out the character of God as they interact with God over a very long period of history. God inspired - yes. Infalliable - I am not so sure - that would require every translated word of every translator to be perfect, it would require the reader to share exactly the same culture and experience and knowledge of nuance of meaning and connotation as the writer. That is a tall order. I hope you are not confusing the views of fundamentalist creationists with those of Christians who earnestly seek to follow the teachings of Christ.
