Amazing Grace is one of my favourites.
Say it and mean it: JESUS IS LORD:
My chains are gone, I've been set free; My God my Saviour, has ransomed me; And like a flood, His mercy reigns; Unending Love, Amazing Grace.

It is my all time favourite and sounds lovely combined with the other song in that You Tube.....hate how churches sing it though.

I hate how Amazing Grace is considered a "funeral" song.

Whazzup, Earl? Doncha like bagpipes? I've done the walk down the Royal Mile in Edinburgh. I've eaten the haggis. Alas, I haven't yet been to the Edinburgh Military Tattoo. I hope to do so just once before I die. And hear the massed pipes & drums play Amazing Grace

I really liked the version you posted Pim. Another version which I like is by Judy Durham. No visuals, but lovely singing.
Didn't much like your version Jesus Saves, bit torturous I thought.

I can hardly hear it. These days I listen to the sound and the words and sing to the lyrics. Singing is a form of prayer, something you can get drunk of the spirit with.

Yes, of course you are right Jesus Saves, singing hymns is a form of prayer and can be very uplifting. I expect you can still hear the music in your head.

Yes, of course you are right Jesus Saves, singing hymns is a form of prayer and can be very uplifting. I expect you can still hear the music in your head. I can hear the music, and some of the words. When I sing the spirit takes over and I almost go into a trance. The spirit rains down, and I get drunk on the spirit. I sometimes even cry at the love of Jesus, and his grace.
