Today we gathered outdoors in a park spaced out in a COVID Safe way. It was true fellowship, we were gathered but spaced. We had a sermon, we sung praise to Jesus and had communion.
We are obeying the law and the health orders. We gathered safely outdoors where there was zero risk of spread.
Compare what we did to what the Muslims did during Eid!

Your repellent version of so-called “Christianity”, Matt, is distinctly pharisaical. Do you know that word? You should. It’s the adjective of Pharisee. Think in terms of the parable in Luke 18:9-14
Pharisaical: marked by hypocritical censorious self-righteousness
Another word for it is “hubris” which is the Ancient Greek ὕβρις. In the Christian tradition it’s sin of pride, the worst of the seven deadly sins. You should look to your own soul. rather than pass “holier than thou” judgement on the way others express their faith.
Reflect on that the next time you gargle and babble your “speaking in tongues” glossolalia.

Are you ready to be fined, Matt? Fines issued after church gatheringwww.abc.net.au/news/2021-08-23/police-issue-covid-fines-at-blacktown-church-gathering/100397712Sydney news: NSW police have issued $35,000 in fines for COVID-19 breaches after an illegal gathering in Blacktown last night. Officers were called to a church at about 7:30pm after neighbours notified authorities. It's believed 60 people were inside — including adults and children. Thirty attendees received $1,000 Penalty Infringement Notices (PINS) while the organisation was issued a $5,000 fine. Police said there was no QR code present at the entry to the building and those in attendance were from various LGAs including Canterbury-Bankstown, Fairfield and Liverpool, which are areas of concern. Police have warned they will take action against anyone breaching public health restrictions, saying the "behaviour has to stop". Over the weekend, more than 900 people were fined for breaching health orders. Many of them had attended a protest in Sydney. New curfew, mask rules from todayA curfew, outdoor mask-wearing and limits to exercising are among the new public health restrictions that take effect in NSW from today. Premier Gladys Berejiklian said the new rules were about "doing everything we can" to stop the spread of the highly contagious Delta variant, including extending the lockdown for another month until September 30. People living in the 12 local government areas (LGAs) of concern in south-west and Western Sydney are no longer able to leave their homes from 9:00pm to 5:00am. Exemptions apply for authorised workers, emergency situations or to seek medical treatment. Exercise in these areas has also been limited to an hour a day. Anyone found breaking curfew will be issued with a fine, sent home and could be ordered to self-isolate for 14 days under more powers given to police. COVID again hits transport routesPublic transport timetables in Greater Sydney have again been adjusted from today after hundreds of staff were forced to isolate. Transport for NSW chief operations officer Howard Collins said that while their focus was on essential workers, services would continue to be impacted by the Delta variant. "Transport for NSW will adjust services where we can, but we expect COVID-related staffing issues to continue to affect services," he said. "Please only use the network if you are making essential trips and please plan ahead before you leave home — this is really important as changes and cancellations can happen throughout the day." During the week, Sydney buses and trains will operate on a modified weekend timetable, with additional services at peak times to support essential workers.

They should be fined as they met indoors.
You do not have to meet indoors, the church is the people, not a building.

Singing in church is not allowed Matte We were not inside the church, we were at the park in "tactical twos" as we call it.

Tomorrow we're walking for church in groups of two, socially distanced but close enough to hear each other.
Because walking is exercise in New South Wales, it is exempt from the mask rule.

Spiritual batteries are recharged. It was a wonderful walk with our church group, singing together while walking outdoors.

I think I would check the legalities Matte - were you in family groups of two who live at the same home? Being out in public without a mask is also illegal.
Finally - does your smartarsedness contribute to or negate the possibility of spreading this disease? Can you in good consciousness as a christian (or Atheist or Mormon or Calithumpian or whatever your flavour of the month) hold to an action which may harm fellow human-beings?

We were walking and not in an LGA of concern. With one other person from outside the household excluding children.

Must be very unfit if you need to remove a mask to walk.

The police commissioner said going for a walk was reason enough, outside the LGAs of concern.

She also believes under 60s should not get AstraZeneca. She also presides over the state with the lowest vaccination rate.

Spiritual batteries are recharged. It was a wonderful walk with our church group, singing together while walking outdoors. Aren't you reducing your spiritual batteries to 'Faith by works' theology, Matt? Sunday walks aren't what recharge you, that ought to be the work of the Holy Spirit.
