I was sitting outside the front of my place this morning enjoying a coffee in the sun when a turkey casually strolled past along the footpath. Naturally, I did a double-take, then shot inside to grab a camera. As I emerged, the turkey decided to disappear up my neighbour's driveway. I managed to take a quick photograph, then it fluttered over the fence into the property behind and buggered off. Just when you think you've seen it all in one's residential street, something completely suprises you. I have no idea where the turkey came from, but it's definitely not what you expect to see wandering along the footpath in an urban area. If it hangs around the neighborhood for a few more months, it may end up on somebody's Christmas Dinner table in December.
