Along shopping strips and night strips, wouldn't a solution to the CCTV issue be to have business owners install a CCTV device outside the front door?
We could have blanket CCTV coverage if they did that.

I noticed on the ninemsn poll the other day that a few thousands morons said no to CCTV. Druggos I'd assume.

It would cost a lot installing CCTV at the government level, but if businesses in a community got together they could minimise the cost.

The city of Ipswich in Qld has them. The police are on the scene in a couple of minutes.

I believe we need the same system as in London, almost blanket coverage to the point someone couldn't take a piss in the street without being arrested.
