A new cafe in my neighbourhood.

I was walking downtown about an hour ago and discovered a new Italian cafe at the end of my single-block street. So on the way back from town, I popped in to check them out, but found out they aren't actually open yet. However, it looks really impressive. The owner proudly showed me the menu and also his coffee roastery (I love the idea of really fresh coffee at the end of the block). I love the fit-out too. They open next Wednesday, so I'll be checking it out as soon as I can although because I'm on real early shifts when I go back to work after a 14-day break next Wednesday, it will be a week-and-a-half before I'll be able to check out their breakfasts.

Oooops....is that the time?

Not only is it beer o'clock, but the temperature is 33 degrees Celcius (the seventh day in a row of 30+ degree temperatures in Wairarapa).

So I guess it's time to get a cold one out of the fridge.

As an aside, I notice the new Italian cafe down the end of the block has a liquor licence.

Can't wait for them to open next week.
