Ponts lives somewhere in the 80s I believe.
He is so far into far left-lalaland I doubt he'll ever see the middle ground.
He has believed there is only his side of politics.
Every leftie my age and older don't recognize the left anymore. It has become so stupid, rational people cannot stay loyal to it.

Trump is an arse....and your defending his alt truth reality which makes you an arse. Trump diverted war... Biden starts them. Trump is harmless. Biden is worthless. Maybe the next President of the USA won't 1. need a diaper change and teleprompter, or 2. have an orange face and own a casino. Maybe they'll get a smart attractive youngish man who is morally upright and selfless....lol or maybe pigs will fly.

Another interesting fact, during the Shoah (don't be lazy, look up the meaning), perhaps the cruelest of guards in Hitler's death camps happened to be the Ukrainians. Some of the descendants of those guards now make up a significant voting block in the Ukrainian parliament, not to mention the Assov (sp?) brigade that's attached to the Ukrainian Defence Force Now, I'm not trying to take sides here, just saying there's good and bad on both sides. After all the suburb where I live (Balaclava) happens to have perhaps Melbourne's largest Russian/Ukrainian diaspora, if not Australia's. These guys are my neighbors. What I am trying to point out, however, is that is an extremely nuanced conflict between two countries that have an extremely nuanced history between each other. It's the very epitome of a "brother war". Seems a lot of folk are too lazy to look into the history of this part of Europe/Eurasia. Hint, it goes a fair few years before the 1917 Revolution. Indeed, for context, I'd recommend checking out Theoria Apoohasis' You Tube channel, he has put up some excellent videos explaining the current conflict and it's historical context. As he points out in a couple of them, Ukraine is "like the legs" as far as Russia is concerned, and they sorta want them back. The tragedy is that if it weren't for the dithering of a feckless US President, by not guaranteeing that Ukraine would never be part if NATO, This conflict would likely never have occurred. Regardless of what Putin "wants," the Ukraine is a sovereign state. I wouldn't be applying "the sins of the fathers" to this conflict. The younger generations want democracy. And surely that's worth fighting for!

And yes, it is concerning that there are neo Nazi fighting as brigades as part of the Ukraine defense force. That's before we even touch on the wide spread corruption on both sides (the Bidens/Obama are up to their necks with the oligarchs in this region, btw)

And surely that's worth fighting for! You do realise that history provides context, and that context matters, dont you? And yes, it is concerning that there are neo Nazi fighting as brigades as part of the Ukraine defense force. That's before we even touch on the wide spread corruption on both sides (the Bidens/Obama are up to their necks with the oligarchs in this region, btw) I definitely do realise that history provides context ... but you obviously are forgetting or are unaware of some of the historical context regarding the Russians' crimes against humanity in the Ukraine - because it is still ongoing! I've borrowed this from OTR ... At the entrance to the Kiev Memorial Park there is a sculpture of a very thin girl with an extremely sad look holding several classes of wheat in her hands. Behind her back is the Candle of Remembrance, a monument with details reminiscent of authentic embroidery that can be found on traditional Ukrainian costumes. This is a monument that marks the historical event known as Holodomor (Hladomor). But what is Holodomor and what crime does this monument even symbolize? At the end of World War I Ukraine was an independent state, but it was governed by the Soviet Union in 1919 "sucked" into the community of Soviet states. Ukrainians, who then considered themselves a Central European nation like Poland, not an Eastern European like the Russians, were trying to restore Ukraine's independence. Not wanting to lose control of Europe's main grain, Stalin in 1932 resorted to one of the most heinous forms of terror against a nation. In the process of nationalization, he took the grainy land from Ukrainian peasants, and all its yields, creating artificial hunger. The goal was to "teach Ukrainians" so that they would no longer oppose official Moscow. Thus, the nation that produced the most wheat in Europe was left without a crumb of bread. The peak of the Holodomor was in the spring of 1933. In Ukraine, 17 people starved to death every minute, over 1000 every hour, and almost 24500 every day! People were literally starving to death on the streets. In the emptied Ukrainian villages Stalin settled the Russian population. During the next census, there was a large population shortage. Therefore, the Soviet government abolished the census, destroyed the census documentation, and the censusers were shot or sent to gulag, to completely hide the truth. It was Holodomor during 1932-1933 hunger killed between seven and ten million people, more than Jews in World War II. Their toxic gas was hunger. Their Hitler was Stalin. Their holocaust was Gladomor. For them fascist Berlin was Soviet Moscow, and their concentration camp was the Soviet Union. Today, 28 countries of the world classify the Holodomor as a genocide, and you could not teach about it in school because almost all evidence has been destroyed, and the victim was silenced for decades and had no say until recently. The Holodomor may have temporarily broken the Ukrainian resistance, but it made the desire for Ukraine's independence from Russia eternal.

Putin needs a bounty on his head....$10 mil dead or alive.
Russians, (the whole race) have lost global respect that they gained over the last 3 decades.

Well if someone doesn't do something about putrid Putin real soon - and his other axis of evil allies, our future is looking quite dystopian. Apocalyptic even.

It fills my heart with absolute joy knowing that the Russian people will soon suffer immensely. When will they learn that communism, marxism and authoritarianism are failed concepts?
Yes, they have nuclear weapons. But without those weapons, they are NOTHING as a nation. Those nukes don't make them special.
For example, Australia, if it wanted, could produce just as many nuclear warheads and ICBMs if we chose to. But we wouldn't be a superpower.
It is time for Vladimir Putin to smell the roses. The old Russian empire is OVER, it isn't a thing.

I wonder what the real child peace activist Samantha Smith - samanthasmith.info - would have thought of Anonymous's "Operation Samantha Smith" against Putin?

But whilst he's absolutely hopeless - a lost cause - the alternative is even worse!! Cackling Kamara Harris!! This video was passed along by a lady in New York - apparently Rita Panahi is really popular over there. Heaven help us!! No wonder Putin is going all out in the Ukraine. He has nothing to fear.

Idly wishes I had the power to teleport 1983 Maine to the present ala SM Stirling’s ISOT series, just to get the real Samantha Smith’s views. Then we could also have Samantha teaming up with Swedish Greta at a Concert for Peace.

Forget Samantha Smith. There's not going to be any peace. What we're watching in the Ukraine is genocide. And nobody is doing anything to stop it.
