What a traitor! She's sprouting the communist party line. I think it's horrifying - especially what she said about Peng Shuai. She reckons everything's AOK and Peng is just "doing her own thing." Except as pointed out, she isn't! Doing her own thing would be playing tennis. Eileen Gu has a lot to learn. And unfortunately she's lost a lot of support in her land of birth. If she loves China so much, why doesn't she move there! The US has spent a fortune in training her. Let the CCP take over. She's just another selfish child of immigrants who wants the security and freedom to live in the US but her loyalty is only to China. She has benefited financially and in her sports career through the US govt's sports programmes but this is how she shows her gratitude. And another thing, the Chinese don't believe in dual citizenship - so if she is representing them, does this mean she must have given up her US citizenship? www.news.com.au/sport/winter-olympics/three-words-spark-pileon-of-chinas-olympic-golden-girl/news-story/5ad26af335931bccf0558602d34871c0

Traitor..?...because she doesn't sing from the hoorah for the red white and blue and war on China as you RW want.
Her goal was to compete for China in the 2022 Winter Olympics.[23][24][25] In announcing the change, she said that through skiing she hopes "to help inspire millions of young people" in China and "to unite people, promote common understanding, create communication, and forge friendships between nations."[23][24] In interviews, she has said, "Nobody can deny I'm American, nobody can deny I'm Chinese"[26] and "When I'm in the U.S., I'm American, but when I'm in China, I'm Chinese."[27][28]
Gu has spoken out against anti-Asian racism in the United States during the COVID-19 pandemic, after the 2021 Atlanta spa shootings and after the Killing of Vicha Ratanapakdee.[30] She has described her own experience with anti-Asian racism, having endured a man screaming obscenities about Asians infecting America with COVID-19 at her and her grandmother in a shop.[30] Gu also supports the Black Lives Matter movement.[29][32] She has also been described as "a strong advocate of gender equality and representation of women in sports".[12]
I sat what a bright young girl and noble.

Of course you would sat (sic) she is a "bright" and "noble"(?) young girl. But she doesn't look all that Asian to me. And I would say that most people would not think she was Asian so I don't believe she has been a victim of racism during her life. Her grandmother - maybe. But really, they can go back to China if they think everything is so unbearable and racist in the US. The thing is, you take the good with the bad and there will always be a few mentally unhinged people around. However I suspect everything's been great for Gu and her family living in the US and she has benefited enormously by the financial input from the US taxpayers to her career. But if she didn't have a Caucasian father, would she even look like she does? Because that is definitely part of her appeal. And whilst she is "a strong advocate for BLM, gender equality and representation of women in sports" in the US, does she also believe in human rights? Would she also be an advocate in China (when she's being a chink, of course) for the Uighurs who are being imprisoned in the most horrifying conditions and systematically murdered by the CCP? After all, I don't thing she's gonna be an advocate for gender equality and representation for women in sports in China because she's already proved that by taking the CCP line on Peng Shuai who called out a CCP official on sexual assault and is being punished for it. But Eileen assures us Peng is well and "doing her own thing." But will Peng ever get back on a tennis court again? Will she ever have any freedom? Ah, no! The little hypocrite who is Eileen Gu, is not gonna go anywhere near those particular kettles of fish! I mean, look, she wants the adulation and the obvious financial rewards that will flow on from being a darling of the CCP. But there's nothing "noble" about her.

China orders Olympics star to delete photosFrom: News.com A star skier at the Winter Olympics has taken a defiant stand after posting unflattering photos she says Chinese officials want deleted. A Finnish athlete has claimed Chinese officials wanted her to delete photos she had captured from inside the athlete’s village. Cross-country skier Katri Lylynpera exposed an ugly moment behind the scenes where part of the athletes village became flooded with water cascading down the walls. In a video she posted to her Instagram stories on Thursday, the 28-year-old captured the moment water poured from the ceiling to create a pool on the floor. There is also electrical equipment still visible in the video she posted. She sent an SOS as she captioned the video with a simple message of “help”. It's just been a complete shambles in the olympic village. Those who have been stuck in quarantine are complaining about the "food" served to them. Russian biathlon competitor Valeria Vasnetsova posted on Instagram from one of Beijing’s so-called quarantine hotels that her “stomach hurts” from a lack of quality food being delivered. She said: “I’m very pale and I have huge black circles around my eyes. I want all this to end. I cry every day. I’m very tired.” Vasnetsova also posted a grim photo of food she was given and claimed it was “breakfast, lunch and dinner for five days already”. She said she ate some of the pasta but it was “impossible” to eat the rest, adding “my bones are already sticking out” because he has lost a lot of weight in Beijing. I don't even know why the olympics were held in Beijing. What with their human rights abuses they should never have been even considered.
