She did herself no favours. She won't be remembered as the Australian of the Year campaigning against sexual violence. Instead she'll be remembered as an adult who acted more like a child, having a tantrum. /

Really?
This from the guy who's known mostly for not being there whenever something happens. He's like a Superman in reverse that changes into a Hawaiian shirt and flees the scene at the first sign of danger.
This from a guy who was unable to contemplate sexual assault until his wife told him to imagine it from the perspective of a father. That did the trick, once he figured out the reduction in their bride price, plus the shame and embarrassment at having to pack them off to an unwed mothers home he really got just how terrible being a victim of somebody elses sexual assault is.
Morrison in particular and the Liberals in general have a problem with Women. The look on Ms Tame's face there shows that the problem hasn't gotten any better.
That look on Ms Tame's face, that's the look of an Australian Woman, an Australian Voter. Morrison may be able to disguise his feelings and lie unashamedly. Just because Ms Tame has subtly let her feelings be known in an unguarded moment does not speak badly of her.
She's just being honest.
No wonder the right consider her such a threat.

Grace Tame owes Scott Morrison nothing.
This was the Scott Morrison who told the march of sexual violence survivors and their allies who Tame accompanied to Parliament House that the women were lucky to have not been “met with bullets”.
The Scott Morrison who ignored key recommendations in the Respect@Work report, the Morrison who did not demote the minister who called alleged rape victim Brittany Higgins “a lying cow”.
This is the Scott Morrison who elevated to assistant minister for women one Amanda Stoker – after Stoker had promoted men’s rights activist Bettina Arndt, who herself had platformed the man who raped Tame as a child.
The Scott Morrison who responded to Tame’s speech at last year’s Australia Day awards ceremony with the remark, “Well, gee, I bet it felt good to get that out.”
Morrison, a world leader and adult man, who infamously had to have it explained to him by his wife why sexual violence was bad.
Grace Tame has every reason to kick the bastard right in the crown jewels, instead she acted with commendable restraint. She is one helluva young Australian woman.

well since Aboriginal women and children are continually brutalized its a topic men would rather stick their heads in the sand about,...
how are you going to fix a problem that has gone on for 1000s of years..?
Scott Morisson can't fix it and either could Albanese if he was the current leader... so why does Pim and Bender claim politicians can undo millenniums of men's foul behavior?
you do away with the death penalty and men have nothing to fear.

She is a tortured wounded soul that most likely will suicide 10-20 years from now... She acted like a bitch. Being rude to Prime Ministers is disgusting... when WA farmers assaulted Whitlam back in 1974 throwing tomatoes at him in Perth I was sickened, sickened enough to write a letter to the editor of the West Australian in red pen of all things. Anyway we won't have to see her anymore. I hope she gets mental therapy.

As for Bettina Arndt.... the older she gets, the whackier she's become.
She should be sued for publishing Tame's image without consent.

Grace Tame owes Scott Morrison nothing.
Incorrect. She owes the position of Prime Minister respect even though she doesn't respect the man himself. If she feels like she cannot even be in his presence without acting like a rude, ill-mannered brat - least of all the Australian of the Year - she shouldn't have accepted the invitation to his home. Her advocacy will peter out as a lost cause due to her obnoxious behaviour.

Yes, Pim and Bender have all the answers. Just blame ScoMo. Everything is his fault. If Albanese gets elected everything will change overnight! There will be no more attacks on females, no more rapes, no more domestic violence, no more brutality towards females in indigenous communities, no more misogyny in Islamic cultures. Wow! Can't wait! So ... maybe Grace can go work in Aboriginal outback communities where rape and violent sexual assault are rife and everyday events for young girls and women. Maybe she can stop Aboriginal men from drinking? She's got the anger and the hostility. Wonder how that will go down in the paternal indigenous culture?

She is or was anorexic so she is already suffering mental illness which is tough to overcome. Her tormentor Nicolaas Bester only got 2 and a bit years... Going by the name, a sleazy migrant. He bragged about his crime on facebook. He thought his sexual abuse was, "awesome." he got more jail time over it.

Look, at the end of the day, she'll forever be known as the grown woman who had a tantrum at the Lodge. The photo will define her. The Prime Minister and his wife showing elegance, with Grace Tame deliberately having a face resembling that of a slapped arse.
She went from campaigner for sexual assault victims to a campaigner for herself, using the role of Australian of the Year.
Rosie Batty didn't do what Grace Tame has done.

What tantrum? Trantrums are highly active and “out there”. We all know what it’s like when a kid throws a “tanty” or a “wobbly” or a “meltdown”. You lie, Matt. Grace was passive and her interactions with him were minimalist. You want to call that a “tantrum”. You lie. Observe, gentle reader, the lies that the far right apologist for child sexual abuse resorts to when he wants to do a character assassination job on a survivor of child rape who’s fed up with the guy who runs a protection racket government for misogynists and rapists. She acted with commendable restraint towards Scotty Word Salad. She probably would have preferred to kick the lowlife scumbag in the balls and whip him with a firehose to show him what one looks like. But that’s just me being unusually intemperate. Grace was very temperate and graceful. What a lady.

She gave the PM a sideways look. My god you people are so incredibly threatened by this aren't you. What's the problem here? A woman gave a sideways look at the PM. She didn't interject or heckle him, she didn't abuse him or call him names, she just gave him a sideways look and it's got you lot running a million miles from it.

Why was she giving Scummo anything? He didn't rape her...he wasn't the perpetrator...
the sick subhuman scum who raped her only got 2 years jail... 2 years for raping a child..
what party got rid of the death penalty and gave us soft sentencing?
awwww yeah, you really all care about child rape, I see it in every post you write...I see it in every soft sentencing carried.

Grace Tame’s side-eye, the PM and Peter van OnselenConservatives have been trying to silence Grace Tame all year. Now she’s finally given them silence and they can't shut up about it.Imogen Champagne 27 January 2022 www.crikey.com.au/2022/01/27/grace-tame-side-eye-peter-van-onselen/This, according to Matt, is Grace Tame throwing a “tantrum”. Having brought up three kids and having five grandchildren aged10 and under, lemme tellya, if that’s a “tantrum” then no wonder Grace’s surname is “Tame”Was there ever a side-eye that divided a nation quite like the side-eye that former Australian of the Year Grace Tame threw at Prime Minister Scott Morrison this week Except, let’s be honest, it didn’t really divide a nation — it divided those who still believe women owe men smiles with those who don’t. Here’s what happened. At a morning tea to meet the 2022 Australian of the Year finalists in Canberra, Tame was enthusiastically called over for a photo op by Morrison (perhaps he was looking for a new costume: yesterday his daggy-dad hat or a hi-vis vest, today a strident advocate — we know how much he likes to play dress-ups). Tame obliged, if somewhat reluctantly. She and fiancé Max Heerey shook hands with Morrison, posed for a photo, and didn’t respond to his question (“How are you going? Congratulations on the engagement”). She also threw the PM an exceptional side-eye during the photos, and did not crack a smile (neither did fiance Heerey, by the way), before exiting stage right. Cue the outrage. It came in from all the usual suspects, but most notably political academic and journalist Peter van Onselen, who wrote that Tame was “ungracious, rude and childish”, and that if her disdain for Morrison was so great she shouldn’t have gone. Yes, because that would have played out really well. Later that day, van Onselen was co-hosting The Project with Carrie Bickmore and was ripped a new one by Bickmore and guest commentator Amy Remeikis, Guardian Australia’s political reporter. Since the side-eye sitch, Twitter has been flooded with comparison’s to Tame’s actions, more noticeably Justice Kenneth Hayne’s refusal to play nice with Treasurer Josh Frydenberg in 2019, and Morrison’s forced handshake with a Black Summer bushfire victim, a situation he then went on to lie about (that’s lie number 39, folks).

I'm no apologist for child sexual abuse. It is something which deserves the death penalty, even more so than murder. In fact, the bible calls for those who commit it to tie a millstone around their neck and drown themselves.
But what does Scott Morrison have to do with what happened to Grace Tame? Nothing. He didn't touch or rape her.
If anything, he has given her a platform over the last 12 months, including the final day of her being Australian of the Year.
Her final day will be the one which defines her.

True enough.
From Erin Molan on Sky News ....
“Grace Tame is an incredible human being, she’s been incredibly brave and gone through a living hell and she’s used an experience that was really awful to try and push for change which I have an enormous amount of respect for,” Ms Molan said.
“My question to her would be: ‘What did you want to achieve out of that, Grace?’
“I just don’t think that has advanced her cause in any way, and prime example, we’re sitting here now not talking about what she’s done to try and end violence against women.
“We’re sitting here talking about Grace Tame’s facial expression, and that’s an own goal in my opinion.”

Running a million miles from a 20 something girl who probably weighs 50kg wringing wet who did nothing more then give a sideways glance at the PM.
They say you always fear what you can't understand and this shows explicitly what those on the right fear.....
And what they cannot understand.
