I'll be glad to see the back of her! It was disgraceful that Shane Fitzsimmons or Professor Brendan Murphy weren't honoured with that award. These are two men (dare I mentioned their gender!) who have worked tirelessly and done so much to allay the fears of the Australian public throughout a year of horrendous events with the fires and pandemic. Things are just getting too political these days. People are being awarded for their gender, culture, personal or political stance rather than their merit . I've never known a time when Australians were so pitted against each other in a divide and rule strategy fostered by the lefturd woke brigade.

I'm sorry for the horrible things that happened to Grace Tame in school, but she came over so aggressively last year that it was unpleasant to watch her. She was a little like Pauline Hanson in that regard ... as soon as I hear Hanson speak, my hackles rise up. Her manner just raises blood pressure and causes an unpleasant reaction.

Well Grace Tame was on a personal vendetta. I just switched off when she started to speak.

I lost all interest in AotY when Allan Border got the gong ๐ Why is that Grim? Allan Border and my brother both played for Mosman when they were in their teens. My whole family is a cricketing family and involved in cricket at representative level so they felt that Border was a good choice. Although I must admit I'm not interested in cricket and never have been.

Can't wait for the toe-curlingly awful "performance" tomorrow by some fat "uncle" what's-his-name and "Aunty" what's-her-face and their appallingly bad nieces and nephews.

I've never known a time when Australians were so pitted against each other in a divide and rule strategy fostered by the lefturd woke brigade. When they gave the woman whose paedophile husband killed their 12 year old son Australian of the year award (was her name Batty?) I never again took that award seriously. I is a joke. The left are nutjobs but so is the right so where does that leave us people with no real heros to vote for?

However Rosie Batty went about her Australian of the Year duties in a more conciliatory and respectful manner whilst Tame was definitely hostile.
โShe has to call it as she sees it, but I havenโt felt comfortable sometimes.โ
โIโm from the generation that is more tolerant, forgiving, complicit and more respectful because we were brought up that way,โ she says.
Personally I believe that if we want to have more respectful men in our society, it starts at the cradle. Mothers are the ones with the most influence on their sons' attitude towards females. Bring them up to be respectful and responsible members of society with good values and standards and we won't have to worry about domestic violence or sexual abuse.
Miranda Devine once said that "the award, which ought to reflect and unite this great nation, has evolved into a mere plaything of social engineers" and I think that is a good assessment.
Grace Tame was a poor choice - she's been ill-mannered, sarcastic and ungraceful which has definitely turned people off rather than getting her message out there. And unbecoming of an Australian of the Year. Anyway that's my opinion.

Rosie Batty's message was a lot more powerful simply because she kept her dignity. She was a great advocate for domestic violence prevention because she didn't lose her cool and didn't alienate half the population.
Rosie Batty lost her son! Tame only lost her virginity. It's a pity that she didn't learn something from Rosie's advocacy.

I just watched 4 episodes about the Yorkshire Ripper on Netflix... He didn't sexually assault any of them, he just smashed their heads in and mutilated their bodies... I don't have much time for men with screwy heads... I am sick of hearing about them.
