I'll be watching. I do not believe people should give their stories away for free especially as ads by advertisers will get aired during the hour.
The Smiths aren't criminals, they were the victims.

Very rarely watch 60 Minutes these days but I did watch tonight to see the parents of Cleo Smith story.
It was surprisingly not as bad as I had anticipated.
Usually, these interviewers try to get the people to break down into sobbing emotional wrecks.
The Mother was very good at handling the story and I was pleased to learn that they are not pushing Cleo to find out the details of what happened.

There was nothing really in that interview we already didn't know. They'd mentioned that before about not pushing Cleo for details of her ordeal.
What I wanted to know was - who was the woman who came and did Cleo's hair? We had heard before of this woman from Cleo herself. I'd also like to know why the next door neighbour who lives on the other side of the duplex, never heard Cleo crying at night when she was left alone. The whole of Australia knew of Cleo's disappearance yet nobody seemed to question why there was a child crying in that creep's house.
I suppose we will have to wait for the trial to have our questions answered.

Cleo has nightmares now.. that was new... he cut and died Cleo's hair, that was new to me at least... And they are going to buy a caravan and travel around the state....

So - just heard that Channel 9 has blown their $2 million on this interview! It didn't bring in the viewers as they expected. As I said before, we already knew virtually everything that was in this, at times very boring account, of Chloe's abduction.
The astoundingly new piece of info unheard before? - Terrence Kelly realised there was a young girl camping in the tent by the little girl's pink bike parked outside. Oh, puh-leeze.
Cheque book journalism at its worst. I only hope that Chloe has been assured of some of that $2 million!! But with those parents - and remember one is only a step-father, if you can call him that because he and Ellie Smith are not married, just partners. So how much is he getting out of the deal? Not that he had much to say during the interview.
A total waste of money.

Yes, he was a man of very few words. I thought the Mum was pretty well spoken except for "them" hills.

Let me see, some of the things she said .... seen instead of saw. Quite a few of those grammatical errors that you expect from someone who hasn't had a good education.

I think he is father of the baby, so they have been in a long term relationship.
I think they are shell-shocked from the trolling which has hurt them. He looks permanenly bewildered like he has foetal alcohol syndrome. I also learned Cleo cannot stand closed doors and she mentioned her bracelet is still at the house, so sadly she has pictures in her head of her hostage situation...
My most favourite show to watch of all time is Survivor and I had to watch that after on one of my Smart TVS playback features.. 60 minutes was competing with Survivor. The shop girl today is also a Survivor addict and she watched Cleo instead. Ratings are moot because people can watch both shows in one night.
Celebrities charge 100,000s of thousands for 30 seconds of ads... I would rather the Smiths got paid for their story than some dipstick celebrity pushing some sugar drink on the unsuspecting public...
Cleo's mum is just a regular young mum whose child was stolen by a freak and thrown under public scrutiny. The young in WA are products of the modern SHIT teaching methods. That is what happens doing away with early childhood rote learning. A barely literate generation.
