It is time to put the police on all the major roads around those SW Sydney suburbs. No one leaves, no one enters!

Extra police are on the way to SW Sydney. The families in those suburbs are on notice.
Lock them down, let the rest of Sydney get on with life.

Obvious Glady's should have locked down sooner.... Sydney is more crowded than ever. Since 2000 – the year former NSW premier and federal foreign minister Bob Carr famously declared that Sydney was "full" – the population of Greater Sydney has swelled by 22 per cent, while the total area has expanded by less than 2 per cent.

Sydney is not full.
We could have millions more people if we utilised more high density accommodation. Which is actually happening. New highrise buildings going in all the time.

A recipe f0r disaster treating people like battery hens for the corporate world to profit...already high rise has little if no green space areas for the children to play...and those children will rebel.

Who else is ashamed to be an Australian? This poor man, unable to see his mum right before she died. The blame is at the feet of that heartless Queensland Premier.
He was fully vaccinated. New South Wales was able to approve his exemption before he even left Canada.
What a ruthless and heartless government they have in Queensland.

This is what you would expect from a barren woman. She has no emotion or feeling. Everything is a transaction. Take a religious bigot seduced by the Hillsong Prosperity Gospel. Add a Hate Stare (he’s been practising his Hate Stare on minorities at his local shopping mall for years so he has that one refined to an art form) and throw in a good dose of misogyny and you get Matt.

I’m over Sydney. My late parents lived in Normanhurst and I’d visit there regularly. But since they passed and my siblings retired, cashed in their Sydney property values and moved to the central coast, I don’t really have any reason or inclination to visit Sydney. The traffic is stressful and it takes too long to get around. The Harbour is nice and it’s pleasant to have a couple of days in a hotel in Woolloomooloo or Darling Harbour. A city should stay under 2 million. Brisbane shouldn’t grow any bigger and neither should Perth (now there’s a nice town!). But Sydney and Melbourne have grown too big. If you have to live in NSW or Vic you’re better off living in one of the second tier cities like Newcastle or Wollongong or Canberra or across the border in Bendigo or Ballarat. I hesitate to say Geelong. Dunno why. What’s wrong with Geelong?

Sydney could dramatically increase its population if developers were allowed to do what they do best and if the government would get out of the way.
We have positive news on the vaccine front, in two weeks we'll start to receive 1 million doses a week of the Pfizer vaccine due to the strong negotiation skills of Scott Morrison and Greg Hunt. The population will be vaccinated by the end of the year. More and more industries are facing compulsory vaccinations, even miners.

And there in a nutshell gentle reader is Matt’s problem: at a time when events have moved global capitalism in a Big Government direction to address problems like the pandemic and, earlier, the GFC, Matt remains stuck on “small government libertarian” cretinism. If you believe that Mr Smirk and Mirrors and “Alas poor Yorick” Hunt possess “strong negotiation skills” you’re so delusional you’ll believe anything. Can’t help you I’m afraid. Alas, poor Yorick

Extra police are on the way to SW Sydney. The families in those suburbs are on notice. Lock them down, let the rest of Sydney get on with life. I agree. Last Christmas/New Year, the northern beaches were in lockdown. We all did the right thing. I was a horrible time - we were cut off from the rest of Sydney and the southern part and northern part were cut off at the Narrabeen bridge. My brother and his family were in the northern part. They were isolating having been to that gym in Mona Vale. My Mum, sister and I were in the southern part. But I couldn't see my family in the Blue Mountains and they couldn't come down here. But we all did the right thing to protect the rest of Sydney. And we all came out of that lockdown and the virus was contained and eradicated on the insular peninsula. Contrast that with what is happening in the south western suburbs now. As Gladys said, those people are coming from a similar background to her - ie the Middle East. Although her background is Armenian Christian. But she's virtually begging them to do the right thing and STOP VISITING their families. Lockdown means just that! You do not drive 10 km to your sister's or 20 km to your grandparents, or aunties or cousins or friends!! It has to stop! But will they comply? Absolutely not! Now they're saying they didn't know about the rules of lockdown. They can't speak English. Yet I reckon they can speak English when they visit Centrelink! And if they can't speak English then multiculti is just not working. Dr Jamal Rifi - not sure of his name said that is correct - they are not isolating and the message is not getting out to them. Which really is hogwash because there MUST be some younger ones in the family who can interpret the govt messages. And where are their community "leaders" who will speak to them in their own languages? But I suppose they think Allah will save them because they were the ones spreading the virus last time around through their Islamic schools! That was where the biggest outbreaks were. This is the problem with multiculti - it just doesn't work when you have all these cultural and religious groups not doing the right thing. So if the police have to take a hard line then it is only for the benefit of the community as a whole.

Oh well if Alan Jones is calling for her resignation then she just has to go doesn’t she! Tell me since you elected to grandstand your misogyny in another thread with a “barren” reference to some hapless human being with a uterus (oh and by the way prove to us Matt that you have a functioning scrotum - actually on second thoughts, don’t!) is Gladys “barren”?
