52 weeks 52 books can you do it ? All books have to be Novels, or equivalent. No Short Stories. I'm already onto a flying start. I'm onto my second read this year, having polished off 'The Hound of the Baskervilles' the other night. Now onto "The Sign of Four", then I think I might read hitch hikers again.

Maybe we've got too many other things on the agenda than to take up your "challenge."
But you seem to have all the time in the world .... pretty light on the social scene??

Oh FFS, it explains a lot about your mentality that you're not a reader. You should try reading sometimes, sweetheart, you might learn something.

Easily Hunter. Does depend on the length of the book though. I am about to re-read Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett, which is a long one. 974 pages.
Finished Peter James "Not Dead Enough" yesterday.
Although if the ABC start any interesting new programs instead of all the re-runs they are showing at the moment, my reading may slow down.

Look dickhead ... some of us have mandatory ongoing education that seriously cuts into our free time. So pardon me if I'm a little busy with the Noroviruses Infection Control Implications for Health Care Facilities. When I finish that tome, there's Occupational Health and Safety Procedures Record Storage Systems, Archiving blah blah blah (boring boring) and then Optimal Medication Administration. All these new publications have to be read and a dozen questionnaires filled out. All in my own time!! Of course I will get paid for it though ... eventually.
But you keep on with your reading ... Bette Davis always said that the best thing she ever went to bed with was a good book. You'd know all about that I expect, lol.

Look dickhead ... some of us have mandatory ongoing education that seriously cuts into our free time. As I do, with my job, so your point is ? So you can't find 20 mins a night, before bed ? Yeah right.. You'd know a lot more about that than me, evidently. But thats ok, we all know you're not much of a reader, it goes hand in hand with your appalling lack of insight. Just to let you know, the idea of 52 books in 52 weeks came from one of the D-Gen Comedians (Rob Stitch ?), who was discussing it on 3LO one night (or was it 3RRR?)

Sounds like you're on the defensive again.
Put it this way Richo, I've been married, had kids, live in partners ...
Whereas you come across as a loner ... so make the most of those books!

Absolutely, Sonnex. It's amazing just how much reading you can accomplish, by devoting the last 20 mins before you retire at night.

As long as one of those 52 books in 52 weeks isn't '50 shades of BS' ;-)

I have already read them Grim...and they're certainly not on my "read again" list. I used t go through at least 1 book a week but my lifestyle stops that now....I usually have a coupld of books going at a time and perhaps now do two a month.
