He's getting a bigger audience as his radio station is getting plenty of free press...
they're all rubbing their hands and smacking their lips with joy.

When they come crawling back, they will find that Jones has a long memory.

Its a pity the hysteria surrounding these non events is so short lived, probably not even a week, I'd love for someone to do a study into how long the advertisers really do persist with their mock outrage to placate the mob, as I have said already the only reason the advertisers are pulling the pin is to advertise ;D

$500,000 lost per month Tripper ... don't get too excited, the required time frame to placate a rabid lefty lynch mob is only one week not one month, even the most hysterical amongst us have trouble remaining hysterical for more than a few days on any one subject, the hysterical lefty lynch mob will have its couple of days of glory then the silent majority will overwhelm them yet again and Jones will continue his fight against labors road to Greece stronger than ever.

A petition to drive Alan Jones off the air is going well. It has attracted some impressive signatures, like the one below. Another one was by AJ himself.Attachments:

I notice that the Woolworths executive who attended with the "Chaff bag jacket" has now resigned as a result of that stunt. "Woolworths : the chaff-bag people!" People power at work. Free Woolsworths advertizing nationally and nothing more... don't you think people can see through that fake stuff?

They may very well mean it this time. After all, not many of the inhabitants of Struggle Street would be interested in Mercedes-Benz cars, and their advertising must have been wasted. A chance to seem noble might make them look better instead.

Mercedes support lynch mob rule, they will probably sponsor the next ku klux klan meeting instead.

Some of the petitions signatories LOL ;D
Other signatures organisers may find on the petition's manifest include a Mr D. Duck and his life partner, Mr M Mouse; former TV personalities Bobby Limb and Dawn Lake; explorers Burke and Wills, Phar Lap, the Magic Pudding, and Ronald Ryan, whose reputation for having been the last man hanged in Victoria is no barrier to expressing a loathing for Alan Jones.
Donald Duck that would have to be you wouldn't it earl. ;D

Jones could probably buy a dozen Mercedes Benz ... but I don't think he will under the circumstances, lol. In fact I really have a problem with companies giving out cars like this to celebrities. In the end, the cost is just passed on to the consumer.

In the end, the cost is just passed on to the consumer. I think he'd feel the loss of a $250K freeby Merc, particularly the way the loss was put to him: "You return it by date X or we come and repossess it!" Sounds like there had been "words" exchanged. But you're right of course. The guy isn't exactly short of a quid and I've no doubt whatever replaces the Merc will look nothing like my ageing Holden Astra. And I'd agree with the "cost passed on" bit. Whatever luxury car Jones ends up with, it won't be Jones who pays for it.
