No, you don't get to vote for the party of racist refugee bashing, Trump luvvies, climate change denying, fossil fuel fixated, science despising, franking credits fondling trickle down obsessives and then strike a pose of schadenfreude over the likes of Clive Palmer. You're as much a fraud as he is.

The Chinese are about as responsible for the COVID-19 pandemic as the poor old Spanish were for the flu pandemic after WW1. And that wasn’t their fault either. You’ve been on too many of those Trump-luvvie American sites, Caskur. But returning to your point about Clive, I agree that at age 66 he’s high risk for COVID-19. Just as we all are as we get older. With his massive girth he’s probably facing hypertension, he doubtless has to watch his cholesterol and he’s a prime candidate for type 2 diabetes. How’s that for starters?

Based on the country with the greatest number of cases having naming rights, it would have to be the American Virus.
Or perhaps the Donald J. Trump Virus could be more accurate.
And I betcha that stupid Chinese-hating woman from Western Australia known as Cascünt has a shitload of Chinese-made stuff in her house.
I betcha that even a huge proportion of stuff in her house which wasn't made in China will have Chinese-made components in them.
And I betcha her computer contains rare earth metals sourced from China.

I had the Hong Kong flu in 1968. No where did I say it was the Chinese fault although it probably was. That is where it was known to start. Its origin. I will call it the Chinese flu whether you like it or not. As for Clive wanting to sue my WA government for our closed borders, that creep deserves a heart attack. I'm hoping he hears my hopes and hurries up and complies.

Way I see it is the 'Chinese' virus...the Chinese government knew that wet markets are dirty bacterial ridden places that spread disease, especially in a heavily populated crowded city, did they not learn from SAR's, they did but chose to maintain the markets under cultural identity, coupled with global travel a recipe for disaster.
No matter what virus of bugs are spread the simple rule is go against the laws of nature and humans will end up dying of disease...feed cows offal stuffed into shitty feed lots and result 'mad cow' disease, keep pigs in shitty conditions and swine flu, bird flu, ebola and so on...go against the natural order of things that humans area part of and mother earth will react.
The Aztec civilisation died out for monocropping corn and eating and killing wildlife in the places where they lived. The Aborigine knew to move on and rotate as with farmers of yore, common sense.
Humans rape and pillage the oceans and stupidly think sharks attacks is a result of too many sharks...when it basically is sharks are hungry because humans have taken too much of the fish resource.
Humans cannot continue to rape, pillage and destroy the environment with out consequences.
In short ban wet markets for the next virus outbreak will be far more potent.

Yep. But here is the thing about the Wet markets. I think they are already against the law in China but like everywhere else on the planet, the citizens don't obey the laws. I'm learning a lot about how the Asian Canadians think and about what they think of mainland China. I can tell you something now though, the CCP are very unpopular with them. You know if you want to read different stuff... go here.. And no, I do not agree with their RW stand on the environment or their stance on Sars 2... thebluecashew.net/ You don't have join it. Just read. There is a 35 yr old Chinese national there (lives in Canada, female engineer with 2 kids) Her screen name is Shen Li (The Iron Chink at other places)... she's the worst RW I've ever read. I give her plenty of schtick and call her a Dog Eater... She wants to lock up all old people and carry on life as normal. Quick, the Dog Eater is here, hide your pets...bwahaha.

China the great land of authoritarian rule cannot stop wet markets..??..while they did outlaw wild animal sales they couldn't stop corrupt officials nor people buying wild animals, regardless the whole really unhygienic mediaeval wet market thing has to stop.
While your group reads like a bit of fun....time only permits so much thinking and posting about news and such.

I'm sick of them... their pure hatred of libtards (leftists) is over the top and completely irrational. There is one guy there though who has a farm in Canada but at one time lived in Queensland. Ukrainian by heritage married to a Chinese wife. There is also an Australian cop (ex cop) who lives in SA. He is highly intelligent. It's very multicultural site. As you say, there aren't enough hours to read all but they have two sections related to serious discussion... you must have missed them. If anything interesting happens there, I'll repost it here.

While the rest of the world were preoccupied with the War and under media suppression, Neutral Spain were free to report on the flu in all its detail. It was natural to assume it came from there.

I never assumed that... the flu (all the various flu strains) and the Chinese virus SARS-CoV-1 and SARs-CoV-2 aren't the flu. It's a different beast.

Speaking of Clive ... Hopefully the fat bastard will lose and have costs awarded against him. Clive Palmer sues WA Government for at least $30b over Balmoral iron ore projectBusinessman Clive Palmer is suing the WA Government.(AAP: Darren England) Mining billionaire Clive Palmer and his company Mineralogy are suing the WA Government for nearly $30 billion in relation to the Balmoral South iron ore project in the Pilbara region, the state's Attorney-General says. The WA Government has introduced urgent legislation into State Parliament in an attempt to prevent the damages claim, which amounts to the state's entire annual budget. Attorney-General John Quigley told Parliament the mining magnate and his companies are seeking damages and losses associated with the iron ore project in the region. Mr Palmer’s proposal was rejected in August 2012 by the then Government, specifically by the former State Development Minister who is also the ex-Premier Colin Barnett. Mr Palmer and his companies allege they suffered enormous financial loss, including damages, interest and costs because they were unable to sell the project to a Chinese company as a result of decisions made by the state over the past decade. The McGowan Government's bill seeks to protect Western Australia from damages to the tune of $30 billion, or $12,000 for every man, woman and child in the state. Attorney-General John Quigley said a successful claim would have dire consequences for the state.(ABC News: Hugh Sando) "Even if Mineralogy and International Minerals succeeded in a fraction of their damages claim, this would have serious financial consequences for the State of Western Australia and Western Australian," Mr Quigley said. "For example, the McGowan Government's $5.5 billion WA Recovery Plan represents only 20 per cent of Mr Palmer's claim." Legislation will be urgently debated An ongoing arbitration claim between the state and Mr Palmer over the proposal has never been resolved. That case was due to be heard on November 30, with Mr Quigley admitting there was no guarantee WA would win. It is the reason the Government has urgently brought forward the legislation to effectively terminate Mr Palmer's legal action. "The Government is taking steps to protect the state from the rapacious nature of Mr Palmer," Mr Quigley said. The legislation is due to be urgently debated on Wednesday, with the Government urging opposition parties to give it bipartisan support. Mr Quigley admitted the legislation was "unprecedented" but denied it represented sovereign risk or an unreasonable intervention in a standing state agreement. "The McGowan Government accepts this bill is unprecedented … but Mineralogy and Mr Palmer are not normal," Mr Quigley said. "The state needs these measures to best protect its interests." It is the latest escalation of the ongoing feud between Mr Palmer and the McGowan Government, which has been in clear public view for years. Most prominently, Mr Palmer is taking High Court action against WA's interstate border closure — arguing it is unconstitutional, prompting the Premier Mark McGowan to claim the state was "at war" with Mr Palmer. WA has also had disputes with Mr Palmer over his joint-venture mining operations with a Chinese entity, at one point threatening to intervene with legislation to restrict Mr Palmer's rights. Mr Palmer has been contacted for comment. In a tweet on Wednesday morning, he questioned the timing of the WA Government's urgent legislation. "The actions of the WA State Government to pass legislation against me is an act of intimidation because I exercised my right to challenge a decision that is unconstitutional," he said. "The legislation they have passed to try and stop me and my company has been done a week after the Premier declared war on me and declared me an enemy of the State." I'm going to laugh when Clive Palmer has either a heart attack or stroke.
Maybe an aborigine will spear him in the thigh. One can only hope.
He is the personification of true evil. I'd tell you why but I've just given the sub-human scum 2 minutes longer than he deserves.
