How a typical atheist says:
"Those Christians are not critical thinkers, like us. We are free thinkers; we came to the decision to be atheists on our own and we don't need anyone to tell us what to think. I keep telling those clueless idiots we evolved, and there is no God, but they aren't "free-thinking" to just accept it like my other atheist friends do.
And talking a talking snake? That's crazy. Everyone knows a snake can't talk, Apes do.
And isn't it crazy how they just accept everything their scholars say or the books they write? Crazy. Hey, did you manage to see Dawkin's new book? He says Christians are crazy. He has a Ph.D in BIOLOGY, and knows virtually nothing about religion, so he must be right."

Or "Those Christians are so intolerant of other people's beliefs and lifestyles. I HATE them, and their behavior shouldn't be tolerated."

OK so your whole argument seems to be ... your story is slightly crazier than mine so mine must be true ;D At the very least you would have to concede both stories are crazy ;D If it were a game of cards according to you your pair of talking snakes would beat my three of a kind talking apes

"Truth must necessarily be stranger than fiction, for fiction is the creation of the human mind and therefore congenial to it." Chesterton, Gilbert K.
The OT writers no doubt understood how crazy it sounded. And yet, they defended it, even to the point of death.
No one dies for a con.

Garfield, you nailed it.
Those with delusions are those who believe in some non- existent creature watching us.
And Veritas, we don't hate Christians, we just want to help you.

Or "Those Christians are so intolerant of other people's beliefs and lifestyles. I HATE them, and their behavior shouldn't be tolerated." I'd like for Veritas to show us where any of the atheists here have said that. Of course, "proof" is something he usually struggles with.

And whilst he's at it, perhaps he can tell us where any of us have said that Apes talk.
Language and communication evolved over many millions of years.Pity he doesn't appear to have done the same.

... they can't agree among themselves
Oh I don't know ... I don't mind a bit of squabbling. If everybody has to agree and a bit of squabbling is viewed as destructive, that sounds a bit like the sort of reasoning by people who prefer a "strong man" dictator who'll kick butt and show all those wankers out there that someone's in charge. Kinda like Mussolini.
Personally I prefer a bunch of squabbling politicians for my politics over the Mussolinis of this world, and give me a bunch of squabbling theologians any day in preference to the ayatollahs of today and the Inquisition of yesteryear.

I'd like for Veritas to show us where any of the atheists here have said that. Of course, "proof" is something he usually struggles with. Right. (In truth, it's something everyone struggles with. That's why there are verdicts and interpretations.) But as an atheist, you believe if you can't physically prove something it doesn't exist, right? ...So it must follow that if you can't physically prove reason , compassion or morality, you must believe you never use any. ;D (And I didn't say which atheist, so it's subjective to my own experience and I don't need to prove anything to you. But just so you aren't left with nothing, here's the latest quote from Buzz. Leave it to Buzz to toss you under the bus, and leave you standing there looking like an ass, in exchange for a vapid and meaningless opinion...Next?)

And whilst he's at it, perhaps he can tell us where any of us have said that Apes talk.. Sorry, I was of the understanding that you believed in Darwin's theory. You know, that whole business about man coming from apes... Or are you the type of atheist that believes we were dropped off by aliens.. No matter, don't fret your foil hat over it.

And Veritas, we don't hate Christians, we just want to help you. Pray tell, what sort of 'help' do you think you are about to offer, that will result in a different outcome than you were expecting? As an atheist, you believe we are ultimately headed for the grave, and that's it-- correct? How exactly will my life be improved by the 'help' you are planning to offer? (P.S. You don't speak for all atheists here, Buzz genuinely hates Christians. He told me so.)

Frog to prince evolution? That's a new one. I prefer the Darwinian model...the one that Doesn't say we come from apes. Some people should educate themselves in these matters before deriding them.

No. Science has hypothesized, there's a difference. How much understanding do you have of their methods, slarti? I can walk you through it.

But he does suggest humans came from lower lifeforms.. Sorry, but re-writing terminology won't win the argument for you.

Rubbish...you stated man came from apes...a statement of ignorance don't deflect, it is not going to work! Yes, evolving from lower lifeforms tends to be the natural order of the process.
