She was an Irish girl, and her hometown was not Perth.
Just like if I moved to New York City, I would have no claim to being a "New Yorker" until I had lived there for 10+ years.

Even Alan Jones was man enough to man up to his frightful calumny.

Buzz, living somewhere for 6 years doesn't make that your home town. Your home town is where you were born.

I didn't say it was. I said 6 years living somewhere for only 6 years doesn't make it "home" My mother spent the first 10 years of her life in Edinburgh Scotland. She is an Australian citizen has been for a long time and has lived in the vicinity of The Lower Hunter Valley for 60 years.....she still calls Edinburgh home.

It depends on where she spent the majority of her life. If she spent 6 years, her formative years (ie primary and/or high school) of her life, then she is from Perth. I also don't subscribe that your home town is necessarily where you are born. My parents moved from where I was born when I was 4 (Umina Beach), I've NEVER considered it my home town, and never will. Because I didn't grow up there. We moved to Qld (Logan City) when I was 4. I attended my first ever school here, learned to read and write up here. Though we moved to a rural area (I still live in the area I moved to when 11) when I was 11, and I spent the last 2 of my primary years and all my high school/college years here. So I guess one could say my current location is my home town. To me, I have 2 home towns; Logan City, and my current area. Umina Beach is not one of them. It was just the place I was born, but I did not grow up there, I have little memory of there. I have no connection to there. Nor any wish to. I don't know where Jill lived throughout all her childhood/teens, but if she spent 6 years (the exact time I spent in Logan) of her childhood years, then I would consider her from Perth. But, thats how I see it.

Then Perth was definitely her hometown, Buzz.

Matt shopuld apologise. Over here in the East, no articles have mentioned Perth or linked Jill to Perth. Maybe an easy mistake for Matt to make, but it still remains that Jill was a Perth girl and Matt should acknowledge that.

I apologise about saying it was a lie she did not go to school in Perth.
But she was an Irish girl and Ireland was her home... she spent more years there than she did in Australia.

She was Irish.... and obviously made an impact on her Perth friends too.... it's very sad for everyone who knew her... don't get sucked into Buzz using this unfortunate woman's death... he's just trolling you... he's a sicko...
