More and more we're being subjected to the spectacle of Dutton rampant and out of control. He thinks he's unaccountable and beyond scrutiny. There's a word for that attitude and it's hubris. Hubris is the enemy of all politicians. Hubris has destroyed more political careers than any other cause. Ask Kevin Rudd. Ask the ghost of Gough Whitlam. You can even ask John Howard who understood the danger of hubris more than any other politician and yet even he fell victim to it. Nobody is able to have a successful political career without a goodly dose of self belief in their personal makeup. Politics is not a career that attracts humble people. You have to possess more "front" than the average person to be a successful politician. So while self belief and "front" are essential characteristics, the dividing line between those qualities and hubris is a faint one which is why most political careers that end in tears have hubris as a cause for the downfall.
Peter Dutton fell prey to the hubris bug years ago. Now it's out of control. It will destroy him and, because he's such a senior minister, his destruction could bring down the government too.

Its a failure of the conservative voter to evaluate who the real criminals are within the LNP.

So if you have been seeing the news with the LNP its rob the the infrastructure fund to pay for drought relief.....(to save their budget surplus and read as Barnarby's slush fund)....and at what point does the tax payer stop supporting failing agribiz...given its agribiz and mining that have fucked the inland water ways...??
Also at what point do the people want to hold accountable the conservatives es responsible for no action on climate change that is killing the planet...??
Now that franking credits are safe what about now the families that are having child support cut to pay for the credits..??..one that slipped under the radar.

The surplus, we must save the surplus at all costs. Recipients of child support who are having their benefits cut to pay for the Holy Franking Credits, and the victims of public squalor resulting from bleeding the infrastructure fund need to understand that their sacrifice is a sacred patriotic duty!
But franking credits are safe. That's all that matters, right?

Infrastructure funds are idle unless they are collecting interest from the reserve bank, then the lack of nfrastructure has been struggling to cope with population growth demands, as an eg; Coff's Harbour Pacific Highway by pass was promised by Labor and Rob Oakeshott tunnels while the Nationals MP fuckface someone or other stated 'if tunnels is what the people want then tunnels they will get'....Nationals won and now its cheaper open cut hwy and no tunnels, ruining the landscape and fucking the west of Coff's residents...in short whatever the the LNP funds its a shit sandwich, just like the NBN....just to reach a surplus. Given that the drought relief funding has gone to the Nats....look how the Murray-Darling fiasco funding all going to agri biz mates one can guarantee the nats will chew it up and fuck the drought releif ...being fuckers is what they do best. Given that the economy is slowing and likely to go guts up infrastructure money will be needed to stimulate the economy....no funds as the Nats have wasted it...economy goes down the plug hole. Farmers will hit the wall with no insurance companies backing them or banks in climate change disaster...they will end in walking off the farm and the big end of town Nats mates will swoop in.
How quickly they forget the environmental damage created by the LNP...like the NSW government redifing old growth forest boundaries to rip down the old growth...fuck the wildlife.

Poll smoll's....Labor lost the election and as such don't have to announce anything except play the long game and let the government fall on its own sword with its trickle down economics ideology which is failing.
There's talk of cutting pensions for people owning 20million dollar homes...(asset rich cash poor bracket)and there are already changes to family allowance to pay for rich retirees....Australia is riding high on Iron ore and exporting gas and coal.....stripping the country....the bubble will burst soon enough.

They are robbing Peter to pay Paul with franking credit and the LNP will target the dumb people who do not get ranking credits to pay for the LNP voting self entitled.
Adani mine will last two years and it becomes insolvent and the government picks up the tab, ponzi scheme, franking credits are LNP created ponzi scheme, the Murray-Darling a government created irrigation ponzi scheme, the lack of action and actually funding climate denial ponzi scheme....clearly the LNP are good at selling ponzi schemes for the greedy and the easily fooled dumb.

So ... this is the Scott Morrison government scorecard. Let’s see how they fare. As they bleed the infrastructure fund because public squalor is better, in their universe at any rate, than a budget deficit, and as their profligacy with taxpayer funds towards self funded retirees with their franking credits eclipses spending on education while Newstart recipients and single mothers can get stuffed, we know what their ideological destination is. It’s called Thatcherism.
The best description of Thatcherism, and by extension what we can expect under a Morrison government, or rather what they “aspire” to, was given by Glenda Jackson in her capacity as Member of the House of Commons on the occasion of Thatcher herself carking it. You want to know the future under a Morrison government? Watch this video. The concept, so beloved of Coalition politicians, of the “aspirational voter” will never sound the same again ...

From Shuan Micallef's Mad as Hell....'make people poor and they will aspire to be rich'....such is the logic of conservatism.

Mr Franking Credits “fuck the planet as long as my franking credits are safe that’s all that matters” didn’t start this thread so I can’t accuse him of phony “progressive” bandwagon hopping - this time! Mind you his cover has been so comprehensively blown that any attempt on his part to hop onto a “progressive” bandwagon will only make him look stupid. And yet still he tries ... oh well ... But resuming our focus on the theme of Scott Morrison government scorecard, bear in mind that theirs is a work in progress. The Thatcherite dystopia described so powerfully and graphically in Glenda Jackson’s devastating speech in the House of Commons, which is enshrined and recorded forever in Hansard, represents the destination - the Holy Grail - that the Morrison government aspires to. And they love aspiring don’t they! If you’re not “aspirational” then you’re a bludger which of course immediately tags anyone struggling on welfare such as a single mother, or a 50+ year old who was retrenched through no fault of his/her own and at that age has zero chance of ever working again, or a disabled person needing care and support, as a bludger. Mind you I’d argue that this mob aims to out-thatcher Thatcherism. Take the NHS in Britain, the jewel in the crown of the British welfare state. It survived Thatcher. Compare that with the repeated attempts by successive Coalition governments to privatise Medicare by stealth. Remember Abbott’s “co-payment”? Remember the Coalition’s attempts to outsource certain administrative functions of Medicare? Have they given up on their project of the Americanisation of Australia’s health care delivery system? Not a bit! And as for the ABC, under the sustained onslaught of successive Coalition governments since Abbott the ABC has become a shell of its former self. Fearful and timorous it has cut back on its current affairs programming so that the venerable Four Corners is the only program left that attempts serious investigative journalism. 7:30 has been turned into a tabloid fluff piece. Insiders is in transition now that Barry Cassidy has gone. We’ll see. The Glenda Jackson speech should be kept on this thread as the yardstick by which the Morrison government should be evaluated. They still have three years. Glenda Jackson has powerfully outlined what the Thatcher agenda delivers. Her speech should be referred to in the years ahead to evaluate just how successful the Morrison government has been in delivering on its thatcherite agenda. P.S. I almost typed ”thatcherite plans” and then I realised that this government doesn’t have a plan. It just has an agenda. Unlike Thatcher herself who most certainly had both an agenda and a plan to give effect to that agenda. This Morrison government which has an agenda but no plan will be obliged to resort to ad hoc policy on the run. And therein lies its weakness.

Holy Franking Credits Batman! I'm flattered by the way this poor imitative prat follows me in order to imitate. Ever since I used the nic "Darjeeling" and that's going back years. He saw a bandwagon and hopped onboard by calling himself Earl Grey. And that's been the pattern ever since. I'm not offended or outraged. Just bored. They say imitation is a type of flattery. Whatever! But it also shows just how bereft this pathetic little man is of anything original.
Now dry your eyes, run along and play with your franking credits. Remember your lines while you fondle, caress and count them. You should have it all off pat by now; "Fuck the planet as long as my franking credits are safe that's all that matters". Just keep repeating those lines and you'll be ok. Don't think about anything else. Oh sorry, how silly of me. You don't think of anything else, do you!

I said that this Morrison Government is aiming to "out-thatcher" Thatcherism. It's helped in this by the fact that back in days of the Thatcher Government and its transatlantic twin the Reagan Administration those two governments existed in the context of the dying days of the Cold War so they were forced by the logic of their ideological enmity towards the Soviet Union to present as everything the Soviet Union wasn't. The Soviet Union persecuted journalists and banned a free press? Reagan and Thatcher therefore had to defend press freedom and freedom of the media generally. The Soviet Union engaged in arbitrary arrest with secret charges and zero habeas corpus? The West, led by Reagan and Thatcher, therefore had to be defenders of due process and the rule of law. The Soviet Union was a dictatorship? The West, led by Reagan and Thatcher, therefore had to defend and promote free democratic elections, accountability in government and the strict separation of powers.
And so on.
These days unconstrained by the ideological imperatives of the Cold War - which Reagan and Thatcher went on to win - governments like the Morrison Government can trample on civil liberties and cock a snoot at habeas corpus. So powerful do they become that they can wedge their political opponents to vote for measures put up to erode citizenship rights and freedoms even further. Never has the need for an Australian Bill of Rights been greater, but alas that particular train has left the station. It's now reached the stage where a Bill of Rights is such a distant prospect as to be out of sight altogether. These days merely to maintain the status quo is a victory.

First rule of law for any totalitarian government be it communist or fascist is to rule the press and media.
Increasingly it can be seen media propaganda and blatant deceit is a political tool used by conservative governments and politicians...think of Cambridge Analytica as one eg;.

Now they are saying a Rudd style emissions trading scheme we would have cheaper electricity today...proving yet again the the LNP are just stupid with the price of doing business.
Meanwhile Europe fries in a heat wave with record temps..as was/is the US...with Australia, South America and Africa in drought.....say hello to famine knocking at the door...farking muppets..as those that vote conservative.

Now they are saying a Rudd style emissions trading scheme we would have cheaper electricity today...proving yet again the the LNP are just stupid with the price of doing business. Be even more annoyed with the Greens who, with their purist attitude allowed the "perfect" to be the enemy of the "good", blocked with the Coalition and voted it down. But for the Greens we would have had an emissions trading scheme back in 2009-10, Rudd would have remained prime minister, the Rudd/Gillard/Rudd shambles would never have happened and neither would we have had the Abbott Government. I expect nothing from the Coalition and never have. Look at any meaningful reform since Federation and you'll see it's been won in the teeth of frenzied Coalition opposition. Any measure that acts to address inequality has always been put forward by Labor and opposed by the Coalition. Most shamefully the Coalition called the passing of the Native Title Act a "day of shame". They're a disgraceful mob of deplorables. But the Greens? By that single act of opposing the Rudd Government's emissions trading scheme and ensuring its defeat on the floor of parliament they have condemned themselves as far as I'm concerned. But the franking credits, Ponto ... think of the franking credits

I haven't forgotten how the Greens behaved like fuck wits Pim....even now Bob Brown is now protesting against a wind farm being built on a remote private Island off Tasmania...believe it or not.
It remains that while the LNP acted deplorable against a carbon emissions scheme and now it is realised that electricity prices would be cheaper now if ine had been in place .....no one in government or any MP's are talking about that fact, least of all Franking Credit Boy...all still ignoring climate change that is real and biting hard,..... in Switzerland where drought has been unheard of now the crops and grasses are failing...dry as a dead dingo's donger.
All along the east coast of Australia it has been clear, fell and develop prime agriculture land for housing with the mad ponzi scheme of population growth of get em in and get em in quick...and its going to be a long hot summer...famine days are coming...share price is falling, Trumpo's Amercia is going down the plug hole.

That's the standard cop out answer from the board's number one bandwagon hopping fake "progressive". When challenged over his miserable bean counter's vote that placed his franking credits ahead of the planet, his stock cop out answer is "they're all as bad as each other". Rubbish. You're like the people who bought land near Badgery's Creek even though that area has been identified for years as the site of Sydney's second airport. Then when it transpires that some serious work is going to happen and the second Sydney airport is actually going to happen you hear the wail "What about our property values!" Your values are fucked and that's the truth of it no matter how much you try to weasel your way out of it.
