"Behold the day of the Lord comes, cruel, with wrath and fierce anger...Whoever is found will be thrust through and whoever is caught will fall by the sword. Their infants will be dashed in pieces before their eyes, their houses will be plundered and their wives ravished." Isaiah 13:9, 13:15 So God wants children killed and women raped. Or what context would you read that in? If I were to say: "I am going to punch your lights out", would take it to be a threat that I am going to break into your house and wreak havoc upon all of your lamps? No, because it's a colloquialism, much like the example you've just used. You ought to know the culture prior to criticizing it.

"As in all the churches of the saints, the women should keep silence in the churches. For they are not permitted to speak, but should be subordinate, as even the law says. If there is anything they desire to know, let them ask their husbands at home. For it is shameful for a woman to speak in church." 1 Corinthians 14:34 Care to explain the sexism in the Bible and why it is there, oh Studly one? It had more to do with Hebrew culture (descriptive) than instruction (prescriptive) on how Christians ought to live.

Whether you are coming to punch my lights out is NOT the quote from the bible. Nice distraction, totally useless in the context.
