I saw this advertised at the movies and even the promo for it annoyed the shit out of me. I hate lego stuff like this....give me proper animation.

I must confess that I took my 5 y.o. grandson to see the movie on my last visit to Canberra. We went to one of those very plush new cinemas - the ones with the reclining seats and very plush upholstery. Grandson was totally rapt and had a great time, which of course is what the outing was all about. As for me ... here's the "fess up" part: I found my seat so comfortable! I pulled the lever or pressed the button or whatever it is you're supposed to do, and drifted off. The darkened cinema, the plush armchair that made you feel like you were travelling business class on an overseas flight ... zzzz ... I was only brought round when a little girl's voice said "Mummy that man's asleep!" So don't ask me about the movie! But I can recommend the cinema!

I must admit Pim, the gold lounge cinema is very comfy, a boring movie might see doze off for a nap too I love going to them, expensive though so it is more just a treat for us as we always order lunch and dessert as well.

I'd never been in one of those gold lounges before. We couldn't all sit together so grandson sat with grandmother while I took the nearest available seat which was separated from the others by a wide console. Up came the footrest and I'm afraid that Batman lego movie just didn't do it for me. But it wasn’t about me. It was a treat for my grandson who thought it was all wonderful and that's what matters. A good movie is a good movie no matter what the genre. I enjoy a good kids' movie as much as the next person but that one didn't cut it. So as I settled back ... zzz ... "Mummy that man's asleep!" Mummy: (in a stage whisper): "I know honey ... shhhh" I appreciated the lady's courteous consideration of my slumbers and I could see the funny side. I've dined out on that story ever since! PS: Phil I didn’t see your prissy post until I'd posted this one so it was in response to Jody, not you. I don't need you to lecture me on how to take care of small children. As usual your hubris knows no bounds. Are you going to lose your temper again, stamp your foot, burst into tears, put up intemperate abusive gifs, utter racist slurs and post a photograph of me that you've dredged up from your internet stalking? And hijack the thread by making it about how much a victim you are. Oh by the way, that was a sneer. And a good one. Now piss off back to the other board.

You don’t get it do you, and of course you're so blinded by your own hubris that you never will get it. Your opinion is both gratuitous and irrelevant. Now go back to that other board where you and Ponto can agree with each other about ... well just about everything really
