I downloaded the book to read before I see the movie. Good book so far. Tells the story from the three main females characters perspective. Hoping to see the movie next week.

I just watched the movie.
I purchased it on BluRay disc earlier this year and then forgot all about it until this afternoon when I was looking through a pile of discs and found it.
I really enjoyed it. The plot had enough different angles to it to keep me in suspense until near the end when it all started to come together.

The book is probably better, more detailed of course but yes, the movie is also done well. I might even buy this one as I know I'll watch it again.

If you purchase the movie on disc, it is worthwhile watching the “extras” which come with it (note that I purchased the standard BluRay edition).
There are excellent interviews with the executive producer, the director, the screenwriter, the casting director and the main actors (the three women, the two husbands, the psychiatrist and the senior woman detective) which give a lot of background into why the movie was made in the way it was made, including why a woman was cast as the senior detective. Plus, the “extras” includes deleted scenes and extended scenes which were shortened on the cutting floor. But don't watch the extras until you have seen the movie.

It was certainly well cast. All actors are very much like the book characters.
